Instrumental teaching is available for all orchestral and band instruments, keyboard, piano, guitar, drum kit and voice. The London Music Fund is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work two days a week with our small and dedicated team of three. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop a range of skills and gain experience in arts administration. The post holder will work closely with the Programmes Manager to support the charity’s day-to-day administration and programme delivery.

The Multi-Story Orchestra project is free for students (14-18yrs) to participate and they will have the opportunity to work with their vocal leaders and orchestra musicians on a show called “Bottled Up”.
It is a week-long project from the 19th to 23rd of August with rehearsals and 2 performances at Bold Tendencies, Peckham.
We are looking for sessional teachers to join our lovely team. Specifically teachers of Keyboard for teaching in schools during the day for a minimum 2hrs per week, and Vocal leader or Singing teacher to run a contemporary singing group on a Tuesday evening at CMA - apply here:

London Mozart Players need your help to with communities in Croydon.
LMP are regularly joined by young musicians and local artists from around Croydon to perform alongside our players. In Croydon’s year as London Borough of Culture, we delivered projects which engaged large numbers of the community, including 100 Faces of Croydon (which showcased 100 local people and 30 photography enthusiasts) and Oratorio of Hope which commissioned exciting new pieces from Croydon-based musicians, composers and dancers.
“It was really exciting to perform and the song we sang was very good because it did represent what Croydon is and what it stands for.” Children’s chorus member, Oratorio of Hope.

Students from Croydon Youth Orchestra and Trinity Music Academy combined with professional players from the Chineke! Orchestra for this special orchestral performance under the batons of Sam Scheer and Peter Stark from the Royal College of Music.
The programme included music by Samuel Coleridge Taylor, Sibelius, and Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue with local soloist Ben Abraham.
The project was made possible by Partnership funding from the London Music Fund, supported by The Karlsson Jativa Charitable Foundation through Signatur programme for the advancement of the art of music.

Museum of Croydon
Croydon's Poet Laureate, Shaniqua Benjamin, is looking for young talent to bring their graphic skills to her final Croydon Poet Laureate project, Out of Silence - empowering people, voices & potential.
She is running a competition for 13-25 year-olds, living or studying in Croydon, with graphic design skills to create a design that will showcase a few lines of poetry written by local teens, young adults & elders. These visual poems will be displayed around the borough of Croydon in shop windows, outside on walls, in community settings & more.

The Chineke! Junior Orchestra is made up of majority Black and ethnically diverse musicians aged 11 - 22, founded in 2015 with the aim of creating opportunities for emerging and established musicians of Black and ethnically diverse heritage.
This concert comes at the end of an intensive musical week spent together rehearsing and exploring the music that they will perform, as well as receiving individual tuition from members of the senior orchestra, who act as mentors, teachers and role models.
