TICKS AT LLOYD PARK

Ticks are quite rare at Lloyd Park but are certainly a possibility. One of our players found one today so I thought it wise to do a small advice post.

I have taken the advice from the NHS website, link below:

One other piece of advice that has come from an experienced tick sufferer from Bristol is to freeze you tick in a ziplock bag (write the date on the bag). Should you get any symptoms, take the tick with you to your gp, it may help them moving forward.

CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP 1100-1600

If you’re going to play you are pretty much restricted to 0930-1100. Be aware and plan in advance. You will not be able to play the course from 1100 onwards.

Croydon Disc Golf Club are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a €2250 grant byPDGA Europe for the completion of the TeePad installation at the Lloyd Park course. Work will be completed by the end of 2023.

The Club has been working hard this weekend to make the on course signage and baskets look a lot better. Signs, maps and “next hole signage now in place.

WASPS HOLE 18

There have been reports of swarming wasps around hole 18s basket. Not confirmed as yet but have placed call to council and we are trying to get more info. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN AT 18.

New Red Short Course

Alongside the announcement that we have a new DiscHire venue, We also have a brand new configuration for the Short Course. Aimed at the beginner this course is a perfect introduction to the sport. We have added a Blue Intermediate course as a stepping stone to the full championship course. All course have been loaded on the UDisc app for iPhone and Android. Enjoy

DISC HIRE: ITS BACK

We are delighted to announce that DISC HIRE is back... from Monday 24th May you will be able to hire discs from The Coach House Cafe

OPENING TIMES. 0930 -1630 Please expect the cafe to be busy at weekends so your patience is appreciated at these times.

There is car parking opposite the Cafe which is free and has no ticket to display. You can park there as long as you wish (there is no 3 hour limit).

Disc Hire:
£4 per disc for the day. (£6 refundable deposit per disc) PLEASE BRING CASH as the cafe cannot take cards for disc hire. There are no cash points nearby so please plan in advance as no exceptions will be made for this rule.
You will receive a mid range disc and a scorecard/map of the NEW short course, which is a 500m walk from the cafe. Please read the safety brief and etiquette rules on the map.

We are so happy to be teaming up with Yaz and his team at The Coach House Cafe... They offer a fine selection of great food and drinks and is a perfect place to fuel up after a round. Set in beautiful gardens The Coach House Cafe is a perfect accompaniment to a days disc golf.
