Today consisted of removing and reinstating gate posts for a customer, however we may have been rather distracted by a little fluffy someone so didn’t get any photos of the work completed, only ones to make Lauren jealous! 🐾

With the weather finally playing ball we have been able to get out and get some jobs crossed off the list! As well as testing out our new purchase of a concrete breaker.

Here’s a few snaps from a recent job helping a customer dig out and prep for tarmac to complete their recent extension. Top work from Si and Elaine to help out with the wheel barrow to try and beat the rain!

With the amount of rain in recent months causing problems for many, just a reminder that taking care of drains and ditches on a regular basis can massively improve ground quality and prevent flooding.

Here are a few examples of ditch clearance from last year that have had a big impact on water flow this year.

Some last minute prep for Plymtree Country Fayre today which involved ripping out the old unsafe stairs and replacing them, before grading the ground above back to the car park height and placing some stone on top

just few of our other projects over the past few months.

First up was a test of our new riddle bucket, sorting and clearing several heaps of stone and soil from a patch of ground and then levelling the soil out ready to be seeded. We were extremely pleased with the riddle bucket and if there’s anything similar we can do for you don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Second was a garden area that had got a bit out of hand! After removing the weeds we set about making the steep slope at the edge of the pond more manageable for the customer. By removing the soil that had been banked up by the previous owner and redistributing it in the small hollows around the area to leave a nice even area ready for the customer to reseed! As well as adding a new drain to deal with a problem wet spot.

We’ve been a bit quiet on the fb front recently but here is one of our bigger projects over the past couple of months, a total garden installation for a new build which required removal of around 200 tons of stone and then replacing with top soil and levelling, ready for customer to seed at the back and turf at the front. We were really pleased with how this job went and glad we could get the property one step closer to completion!

Some snaps of a recent job involving fence removal and tidying with our new grab, ready for the customer to take away. As well as reinstating an old ditch that has been pushing water into the field for a long time!

Some more happy customers from jobs over the last couple of weeks.

The 1st involved the clearance of lots of big roots and debris before helping the customer relay some more terram ahead of her stone delivery, creating a smart hassle free garden space.

The 2nd was me assisting with a dig for CJW Garden Services, which involved the excavation of a sloped piece of the garden, requiring us to use a hired machine due to the limited access to the garden. Check out his page for a look at the finished garden

We’ve been a bit quiet on the update front recently, so here’s a few snaps of some of our recent jobs!

The first ones are a pad we created for a customer’s new summerhouse.

The second are prepping for a customer to plant a new hedge.

A satisfying job this week clearing some ditches that haven’t run in years and finding culverts that the farmer didn’t know he had.

One of our pre Christmas jobs I managed to get some photos of, clearing an old hay feeder and removing the block work underneath, as well as digging out and relaying some broken concrete and cobbles. (Old concrete left at the customers request). Then installing two new posts for a custom built feed barrier. if there’s any thing similar we can do for you feel free to get in touch!

A few photos from Thursdays job, digging a 5 foot channel for the customer to self lay some concrete. Then filled the day tidying some areas of loose stone and clearing some rubbish.

A few photos from the last couple of days on a farm for a customer. Started with some ditch clearance after the recent heavy rain caused a few issues! And then moved on to having a clean up in the cobbled yard including some concrete patchwork where the water had caused damage.

Yesterdays job of assisting with installing some gate posts and fence posts for a customer on some tricky ground including lumps of concrete and all manor of other obstacles! However after some perseverance we succeeded in getting them installed!

A quick job this evening sorting some top soil heaps into a bank for the parents to try and establish a new banked hedge for the boundary fence
The LEDS on the digger mean working later into the evenings now they’re drawing in isn’t a problem!
