➡️ Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch
➡️ Part time and flexible working considered for the right applicant
➡️ £27,000 - £31,000 negotiable based on experience (pro rata for a part time post)

BUT, we are currently working on something slightly different...🦇 Working alongside Clovelly Village and Ecologists, we are looking to see if the former Lime Kiln could provide a suitable for the bats residing in a nearby derelict building, which would allow it to be bought back into use 🏚️➡️🏡

Alternatively, why not ask a family member, friend, neighbour or colleague if they have the tool you need and would be happy to lend it to you? Our Director; Luke McAdam borrowed an angle grinder from our Conservation Architect Matt Rayner recently for a garden project he is working on.

Not only does this approach of borrowing save you money, time on maintenance, storage and limits waste, it enables you to lessen your environmental impact by reducing the need for more resources ♻️🌱

There is no denying that is our most precious resource and many don't look at it as a limited resource. But it is, and as the world's population, deforestation, urbanisation and manufacturing demand increases it is going to become even more scarce.
It is no longer an issue future generations need to think about, we all need to do something about it NOW.

At hmad architects we are actively considering additional ways in which we can become more sustainable in our usage of not just water, but all resources we use, but also how we can encourage our clients to consider some of the amazing technologies that can help with this, such as; grey water recycling, ground and air source heat pumps, solar panels etc.

Recent and future changes in law will require work to buildings and new build sites to provide evidence on the environmental mitigations being implemented to offset the carbon footprint from projects. Hence, we are taking this opportunity to reassess our practices now and into the future and we would encourage all architectural and construction professionals to consider doing the same. It is in everyone's interests to responsibly protect our environment right now if we want to continue to live comfortably, safely and healthily!
