Driftwood Puffins

A porthole clock I recently made, which is on it's way to a new home shortly. The view is the Isle of May, just off the coast of Fife.

Another good winter craft fair at Lundin Links just gone by. Its my last one of the year, which is good as it gives me chance to make some new pieces ready for the New Year. One of the things that sold well was the sea pottery mosaic kits, especially the Christmas trees and Scotty Dogs. I did take a few orders for the Christmas trees, which I will be delivering shortly, if you are reading this and ordered one.

Just finished working on a driftwood fish, so will be taking it along tomorrow to Montrave Hall in Lundin Links, along with other driftwood items and some Puffin notebooks (new range). I was hoping to take some Razorbills but run out of time, so will take them to the next craft event in the New Year.

Part of my stall at Kilmany Village Hall on Sunday afternoon. I will also be at Lundin Links on Sunday 3rd December at the Montrave Hall, my last craft fair before Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who came along today to the Cupar at Christmas event, whether to buy or just have a chat. It was another successful event and I sold quite a few pieces.
Some people mentioned that they are always picking up finds and not knowing what to do with them and it got me thinking that I could maybe run one or two workshops during late spring/summer, if there was enough interest. Please let me know if you are interested and I will take it forward if there are enough of you. I don't know when or where yet, I'm just gauging interest.

The opening times for St Andrews Preservation Museum are Wed-Sun, 12-4pm and the Arts and Craft Fair is on until Sun 10th Dec, where I have several items for sale.

I have sent some of my driftwood items to the St Andrews Preservation Museum's Art and Craft Fair, which finishes on the 12th December. Any commission earned goes towards the museums upkeep.
Among the pieces are a pastel painting entitled "Stormy Seas", 2 driftwood sharks (sold as a pair) and a puffin clock.
I will be at the Cupar Xmas Lights turn on fair on Friday 25th November and the following week at Lundin Links Fair on 3rd December with more different items, made mainly from things picked up off Fife beaches.

Here are some of the sea pottery buttons I forgot to take to the vintage/craft fair in Dunfermline last weekend. This is a small selection of what I have. All the pottery has been picked off Fife's beaches after the sea has worked it's magic on them

The things I make are all from items I have picked up off the beach, mainly in Fife but as far away as Greece. Driftwood, sea glass and pottery, coal, slate, rusty drink cans, you name it, if I can use it I will.
I sell at local craft fairs and am now starting to sell online.
Keep an eye of the page as I start to add more pieces of driftwood art.
