A92 in North East Fife | Resurfacing Surface Improvements
Mournipea to be closed again but this time it's the bottom end where the houses are and includes the access to Provost Park.
Although the notice says from 16th to 20th September in practise it probably means one day during that week.

Bus Network Study
As you may be aware funding was made available earlier this year to undertake a study of the bus network in Fife (focusing on the Councils supported services).
The transport consultants WSP has been appointed to undertake this work which will involve the analysis of the supported bus network will assess its performance, connectivity, customer needs and value for money. In particular this work will look at options for the Council to run its own buses as opposed to contracting services in order assess if better value can be achieved and/or allow greater control/flexibility and improved connectivity.
As part of stakeholder engagement a survey will be launched week beginning 5th August 2024 to allow bus (and non-bus users) to comment on the bus network in Fife. It will run for 4 weeks and be available to complete online following the link below or by post/paper format.
Paper copies of the survey will be available from Monday 5th August from St Andrews, Leven, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline bus stations or they can be requested by calling 01592 583223 or emailing [email protected]

The second road closure on Mournipea, commencing 12 August.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Apparently residents have been told that the road will be closed Thursday and Friday. Then further works commencing 12th August.
UPDATE: Fife Council have now put up signs on Mournipea saying that the road will only be closed for one day, Friday 2nd August.
Please be aware that the Met Office has issued a weather warning for Rain for Fife.
The warning is valid from 08:00 Tuesday 16th July to 20:00 Tuesday 16th July. The warning advises of a very low likelihood of medium impacts. See full details of the warning here.
What to expect
Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
There is a small chance that a few properties could be temporarily flooded in the heaviest showers.

An emergency road closure is currently in place on Parliament Place, Auchtermuchty due to Scottish Power Works. This closure is likely to be in place until 19/07/24, or until earlier completion of the works.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Distillery Street, Burnside, Cupar Road and High Street (contractor’s plan attached for info).
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and residents will be maintained.

Councillor Lothian reports that following a site meeting with flood management officers from Fife Council, representatives from Scottish Power, local landowners and a local resident an action plan has been agreed to install a new field drain and pipes and ditches to direct water into the culvert under the road in order to alleviate flooding in Westbank and the west end of the High Road by the electrical sub-station.

Local Place Plan
The final draft version of the Local Place Plan is now available to view or download from the Community Council web site.
The statutory consultation period runs from 9th April to 7th May during which time members of the public can make comments and representations.
There is a launch drop-in event in Strathmiglo Village Hall on Tuesday 9th April from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

DISPLAY OF FLOOD RESILIENCE PRODUCTS- FALKLAND
Falkland Flood Action Group and the Scottish Flood Forum will hold a display of flood resilience products for properties affected by flooding in The Stables Hub, Falkland Estate, Falkland on Saturday 27th April from 10 am till 4pm. This is a drop in event so you can come and go any time between 10 am and 4pm,
There will be a short talk on flooding matters at 11am from Kasha Jarosz from the SFF and from John Brown, Chair, FFAG. Information and various leaflets on flooding matters will be available, as well as tea and coffee.

Falkland Flood Action Group in conjunction with the Scottish Flood Forum are having a drop-in exhibition of flood management products to safeguard your house on Saturday April 27 from 10am to 4pm in the Stables, Falkland.
There will be talks from experts and information and leaflets on flood related topics including what grants are available.
