⭐️ Cupar Youth Charrette ⭐️

Today we have paired up with Bell Baxter High School to allow young people to get involved in the Cupar Youth Charrette!

Cupar Development Trust are hosting the Youth Charrette to allow local young people the opportunity to engage in conversation and listen to young people about what it’s like to live in Cupar and what they can do to influence the Cupar Development Plan with Kevin Murray Associates 🥳

The Cupar at Christmas light switch on and Santa's Grotto 2023, done for another year.🎅👏

Just to say a huge thank you to the C*C Young Volunteer team and the North East Fife Youthwork team, who grafted all day to keep everyone entertained and helped us open up our doors and host the community of Cupar's visit to see Santa.

We sung, we danced, we laughed, we coloured pictures, we made hot chocolate, but most of all we had the best fun along the way. It was a chilly day but we smiled and waved and welcomed everyone in 😀

Thank you to the Cupar at Christmas team for coming back to C*C again and transforming our computer room in to an amazing grotto 🌟

As we come to the end of , focussing on youth work, we celebrate all things good about our work with young people.

We look forward to continuing offering opportunities and experiences in our community and beyond - supporting, encouraging, sharing, learning together, making sure that we and our partners can have a real impact in the lives of local children and young people.

Now it's time to shine a spotlight on all things staff and volunteers 🥳🥳🥳

We have an amazing staff team accross C*C with the North East Fife Youthwork team and a great cohort of volunteers that give up their valuable time to help our young people and deliver the Youth work.

We promote Workforce development by offering g training, keeping up with the latest policies and plans affecting Young people to ensure staff know the best approach to deliver key Youth work services.

We have 3 staff members currently studying at University of Dundee either full time or on the work-based route, studying community education, we have one volunteer who completed their PDA with YMCA Scotland and we support the development of the NEF Modern Apprentice Jamie, who helps deliver our work whilst in youth work training. 🌟

We are also delighted to have Nathan on the YMCA YWCA Cupar Change Agent programme, representing all deliver by World YMCA 🤩🥳

What a team of highly skilled and enthusiastic youth workers we have 🥳🥳 All with a passion for further education and training to ensure Youth Work delivery is professional and top notch 👌Alingside the hours we wrack up doing local training with Youth 1st and their amazing training menu 👏

Meet our apprentice youthworker Jamie who has just started his 2nd year and is working towards an SVQ level 3 in youth work

🤩Jamie was a young person who attended Cupar Youthcafe and applied for the post with Fife council and was successful so is now working across many youth work projects in schools and community based projects

Modern Apprenticeships are a great introduction to the youth work service and helps us to build a skilled workforce

Today we call for Increased Investment and we shout about the power of outdoor learning and its place in youth work.

This year we received investment to allow 18 young people to attend our Leadership Residential at Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre and what a weekend it was. Challenging and overcoming fears, trying something new, developing team building skills and exploring the benefits of being outdoors. 🌿

This is only one thing from a long list of opportunities that we offer at C*C but we need Increased Investment to sustain this work for future generations.
