We Wanted to share a little more about the Island of Crete and the History of one of the most important archaeological sites in the world! 🏛🏛🌏

The Palace of Knossos is associated with the ancient Minoan civilization, one of the earliest and most advanced civilizations in Europe. The palace dates back to around 1900 BCE and was continuously inhabited until its destruction around 1450 BCE.
The palace was excavated and partially reconstructed by the British archaeologist Sir Arthur Evans in the early 20th century. Evans' work on the site brought to light significant insights into Minoan culture and history.

The palace complex is an architectural marvel, featuring a labyrinthine layout with numerous rooms, corridors, and courtyards. Its design showcases sophisticated engineering and an advanced understanding of urban planning for its time.
