Now we're back home to dark cloudy skies, I'm missing this beach even more!! I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I find the sound of the waves rolling in and out incredibly relaxing.....hypnotic even 😉 In fact, I will often help my clients to visualise themselves on a beautiful sandy beach (if it's something they enjoy) when I guide them into hypnosis. Taking them on an internal journey, utilising all their senses in order to picture or get a sense of that beach. What sounds or places do you find most relaxing? 🤗

Here's a simple but very effective technique to use when you notice feelings of anxiety. Pass the object from one hand to the other, always crossing at the midpoint in front as shown. Keep your head still but follow the object with your eyes. 👀 Carry it out for at least a minute and then notice how much calmer your body and mind feel. 🤗

Just thawing out again now with a cuppa☕ My face felt like ice by the time I got home. I could have done with it last night when I woke up with a bloody night sweat!! 🥵 Fortunately I rarely get them so it made me wonder what might have triggered it🧐 Triggers can be different for us all but may include things like caffeine , drinking alcohol, having a hot drink just before bed or low blood sugar for example. So if you get hot flushes or night sweats, look at what you've been doing/eating/drinking and look for patterns. This way you can start to make simple changes to help yourself👍🏻🙂
