Here's how you can use self-hypnosis effectively:
π« Find a quiet comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
π« Sit or lie down, close your eyes then take slow, deep breaths. Starting from your toes, begin to imagine relaxing each part of your body.
π« Focus on a calming image or your breathing. Let go of any distractions and clear your mind.
π« Slowly count down from 1 to 10, imagining yourself going deeper into relaxation with each number.
π« Whilst in this relaxed state, use positive affirmations or suggestions that align with your goals (e.g., "I am confident and capable").
π« Picture yourself achieving your goal or experiencing positive change. Make it as vivid and detailed as possible.
π« After a few minutes, slowly count up from 5 to 1, gently bringing your awareness back to the present.

Well, after posting a few days ago on the importance of doing something enjoyable each day.....I've been back in the garden.π
I've given it a good haircut and manicure so it's now looking a lot happier after being neglected during the crappy weather!

A busy weekend for this group of students as they learn how to help clients with weight management, insomnia and obstetrics. Only 3 more months until they graduate!!π
What does your inner voice say to you?
Does it offer positivity or criticism?
"You're useless, you're too old, you're a failure, you're not good enough, you're lazy"...or a million other negative things we tell ourselves......STOP!!!
Every time we listen to that voice and repeat those negative things, we strengthen the belief that they're true.
Be aware of the words you speak to yourself and flip it around to something more positive. It's tricky to do at first but with practice it'll get easier.

π« A Quick Calming Breath Exercise π«
1. Find a Comfortable Position: Sit or lie down, close your eyes, allowing your jaw and shoulders to relax.
2. Inhale Slowly: Breathe in deeply through your nose for a count of 4. Feel your abdomen expand as you fill your lungs.
3. Hold Your Breath: Gently hold your breath for a count of 4.
4. Exhale Slowly: Breathe out slowly through your mouth for a count of 6. Feel the tension leaving your body with each breath.
5. Repeat: Continue this cycle for 5-10 breaths, focusing on the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body.
This exercise helps calm the mind and body, making it easier to enter a relaxed state. Perfect for a quick reset during a busy day!βΊοΈ
