Sam is celebrating after having secured a place at one of the country’s most prestigious universities. He achieved 4 outstanding A* grades in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Physics and will head to Imperial College, London, to study Chemical Engineering.
Sam was born with Albinism, but he certainly hasn't let his condition hold him back! Congratulations, Sam!

The Director or our Drama Club, Emma Ransome, is taking her love of theatre to new heights following tremendous success in her A Levels. Emma will study English with Shakespeare Studies at the University of Birmingham having achieved 4 amazing A* grades in English Literature, History, Psychology and Extended Project Qualification.

🌟 We’re so excited to introduce the future interior designers of Darlington!
Esme, Lily, Sophie, Ellen and Hope from Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College were crowned the winners of our competition to design wall coverings and fabric for our new Fordwood show home at Westville Quarter.

This week our first year students have been taking part in some very important HE/Job Ready workshops led by industry professionals and ex students! They included subject specific careers talks, advice about applying to university and also help for those who are thinking about not going to university!
Thanks to those who delivered talks and helped out - they were very beneficial to our students!
Business and Economic students had a taste of The Apprentice life recently when they got to pitch a new type of bottled water to Apprentice finalist Adam Corbally and Sunderland University staff in the Boardroom Battle event!

In a recent collaboration with Miller Homes Ltd, our Textiles students were asked to create designs fit for a teenager's bedroom, to be featured in one of their show homes.

It's almost time for our artists to showcase their final pieces in this year's Art Foundation Show. They have been working tirelessly over the past few months to bring together an exciting and thought-provoking exhibition. We can't wait to see what they've done!

We are always so proud of our students' achievements, whether that is inside or outside of college. A massive well done to first year Henry Mack, who recently travelled to Poland to compete in the World Kettlebell Sport Federation's (WKSF) World Championship 2024, and won gold in his category!

Our English Language students had a great time visiting York St John University recently. They took part in a number of exciting sessions in their linguistics department, as well as learning some introductory Japanese, Korean and Sign Language!

Students took part in an educational exchange with St Dominics Sixth Form in Harrow last week to speak with other students and share experiences. This was an opportunity to experience student life in London, take part in lessons and even included a trip on the London Eye!
