🚨Remember:

💔Cardiac arrest is an electrical problem - the person will be unconscious.
💔Heart attack is a circulation problem - the person will probably be conscious.

Get to recognise the difference so you know what action to take in an emergency.

Restart a Heart Day 2024 - learn lifesaving CPR 17/10/2024

This October, St John Ambulance is teaming up with Resuscitation Council UK, and other organisations all over the world to raise awareness of cardiac arrest and teach CPR.

In the UK, less than one in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

Knowing CPR means that one day, you could help save the life of your family, friend, or stranger.

Will you join us and give them the best chance of surviving?

When it comes to CPR, every 'body' is the same. Regardless of gender or body type, you use the same technique.

Everyone deserves the best possible chance of survival.

Shockingly, a third of Brits are afraid to give CPR to a woman because they are worried about touching breasts.

Whilst we may have finally reached a break in our schedule of games, there is no rest as a Giant.

The players and coaches continue to work hard at training, with the support staff working their magic behind the scenes.

And next week we have our next community event of the season, as we team up again with St John Ambulance Derbyshire for the GIANT collection.

The Giants will be out and about at Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre (S20 7PJ) on Saturday 22nd June, from 09:00 - 13:00, helping St John Ambulance raise money and awareness of simple, life saving, skills - an aim very close to our hearts.
