I made these fluffy, golden pancakes with organic Emmer flour, organic coconut sugar, free range egg, almond milk and baking powder. Emmer is an ancient grain a great alternative to the traditional wheat flour. Some people with gluten sensitivity may find Elmer tolerable as it's not been as processed as the traditional wheat flour. Everyone's body is different and so results and studies vary. I personally avoid gluten as much as possible but love the texture and nutty taste of Emmer! It's great for breads, pasta and pancakes. I've also used them for scones and would recommend the crumbles and cobblers too! It's worth trying it with any baking and see what you think! 💝 #ancientgrains #cookingwithancientgrains

Soaking pulses and grains for a few hours before cooking helps to relieve bloating, constipation and indigestion. This is because the enzyme is released which breaks down the complex carbohydrates before you eat it. Nutrients from the food is also more readily available and easily absorbed in the body. I take my Restore supplement which helps climate gas and bloating completely from the food. At last, I can enjoy pulses with no gas at all. Foods containing Tryptophan, the precursor for serotonin, vitamin B6, B12 and magnesium can help in promoting sleep. Always avoid highly processed foods, refined sugars and artificial sweeteners as these kill off your good bacteria and promote inflammation. 💝 #foodforsleep #foodstopromotesleep #sleepandguthealth

Unfortunately, inflammation is the route cause of many diseases with gut health issues not exempted. One way of reducing the effects of stress in the body is by eating foods containing Magnesium, Vitamin B, Omega 3 or protein. They help reduce inflammation and cortisol levels.
