RSPCA Alvaston
We have six Charity Shops across Derbyshire, where all the vital funds raised go directly to support Donation days: Monday - Saturday
Do you have any paperback fiction or ladieswear (particularly tops) to help us keep our lovely shop full of stock for our wonderful customers?
We will happily take these and all other charity donations during opening hours (8.30am-4pm Mon-Sat). Thank you.
And all our animals are very grateful (purrs, squeaks and wagging tails all round!) π±ππΆ
Ruby is a gem!
She is a 12 year old Springer Spaniel who came to us as her owner sadly passed away. Due to this, we don't have any history about her, but she has shown us that she has had a good level of training and socialisation.
Ruby's forever home wish list is:
- Children aged 12+
- Could live with another dog
- A home with lots of tennis balls!
Ruby is overweight, so her new family will need to continue her exercise and diet routine in the home until she hits her ideal weight.
Apply to adopt by filling in a Perfect Match form here β‘οΈ rspcaderby.org.uk/find-a-pet/ruby
We love our new shop counter! It looks very smart plus weβve got extra wall space to display more stock. Thanks Fittings 4 Shops for all your help.

πΉ Throughout March, we have been running a Crowdfunder campaign to help fund a new small animal unit at our rehoming centre on Abbey Street in Derby.
We have been blown away by the response! Hundreds of our followers, supporters and local businesses got involved to help our tiniest residents and ensure future generations of small furries have somewhere safe to go after being rescued from cruelty, neglect and abandonment.
If you have supported our campaign by making a donation, spreading the word, sharing our campaign on social media, or in any other way, THANK YOU! π
Our aim is to raise Β£10,000 of the estimated Β£60-Β£80k that the build will cost, and we're delighted to have raised just over Β£9,000 including online and offline gift aid so far!
There's still time to help us get one step closer to our target. Just head to crowdfunder.co.uk/p/saveoursmalls to get involved.
With heartfelt gratitude, The RSPCA Derby Team x

Snowie is a handsome lad looking for love.
He's around 4 years old and he's a really sweet boy who will make a great addition to his new home.
Snowie's forever home wish list is:
- A female rabbit friend to live with
- Plenty of love and attention
- A spacious accommodation with plenty of room to run, binky and explore
When Snowie came to us he wasn't able to eat as his teeth were so overgrown. After having his teeth clipped he was able to eat again and regain his strength. His teeth still grow very quickly, so his new family will need to monitor him and take him to the vets as needed to avoid them becoming overgrown again.
Rabbits are active animals and need plenty of space. A pair of average sized rabbits need a minimum area of 3m x 2m x 1m high (10ft x 6.5ft x 3.5ft), comprising a sheltered living area with a permanently attached run, regardless if they live inside or outside.
If you can offer Snowie a loving forever home, please click the "Submit Perfect Match form" on his rehoming page-rspcaderby.org.uk/find-a-pet/snowie.
We are very grateful to all Pound Plus Alvaston customers for your generosity - our donation pot has been filled up! This has made us and all the animals we are able to help very happy πβπ¦Ίππ
Weβre putting a new pot in so you can carry on supporting us, thank you.
Love is in need of love π
She is a Husky/Chow cross who came to us via an inspector. She's an absolute sweetheart who just wants to feel safe and secure with her new family.
Love's forever home wish list is:
- Adult only home
- Could potentially live with another similar dog
- Experience of breed not essential but would be beneficial
She walks lovely on the lead and likes getting out and about. She can be typical of her breeds and can be a little aloof at times, but she does love having company.
If you can offer Love a loving forever home, please click the "Submit Perfect Match form" button on her rehoming page here: rspcaderby.org.uk/find-a-pet/love
