Making the most of a pension is your best chance of securing a decent income when you retire.
Some key questions to consider:
Do you know how much you need to retire?
Do you know how much you have in your pension pot?
Have you considered the type of lifestyle you want after retirement?
Should your pension plans be all together?
What sort of income can I get from these?
What is the tax position?
How much can I pay into a pension plan?
How tax efficient is my pension plan?
Can I use my pension to assist my business or buy a property?
We can help you answer all these questions, get organised and give you the confidence to retire, knowing your financial future is fully planned, enabling you to live the life you want.

With the end of the financial year fast approaching, it’s crucial to consider how you can make the most of your Individual Savings Account (ISA) allowance.
ISAs are a cornerstone for saving and investing in the UK, offering a tax-efficient shelter for your hard-earned money. Whether you’re a seasoned saver or taking your first steps into the world of investments, understanding the nuances of ISAs is key to maximising your financial health.
However, with this year’s ISA deadline fast approaching, acting now is crucial to make the most of your allowance. Whether you have a lump sum to invest or are looking for some expert guidance and advice on how to maximise your allowance before the deadline, we can help.
Give our friendly, expert team a call today to discover how. Or if you'd like to learn more about ISAs, read the blog on our website at https://www.glenroseifa.co.uk/are-you-ready-for-the-isa-deadline/
As the end of the tax year approaches, now is the time to think about opening an ISA, or making the most of your annual ISA allowance within an existing ISA. We'll be posting more information on ISA allowances later this week.
ISAs allow you to save or invest money without paying tax on the interest, dividends or capital gains you earn (within certain limits), making them an incredibly effective tool for growing your wealth over time. There are several types of ISAs to suit different financial goals:
Cash ISAs are perfect for risk-averse savers, providing a safe place to store cash with interest without the tax.
Stocks and Shares ISAs offer the potential for higher returns by investing in the stock market, albeit with greater risk.
Junior ISAs are an excellent way to build a nest egg for your children. They provide a tax-free savings container for children under 18, allowing parents and guardians to invest in their child’s future without the worry of tax on the interest or gains.
Lifetime ISAs are designed to help you save for your first home or retirement, with the Government adding a 25% bonus on contributions up to a set limit.
Beyond their immediate benefits, ISAs encourage saving habits and provide a means to grow your wealth over time without the worry of tax on your gains or income.
If you would like more information on ISAs, or any of our other financial services, please contact our team at Glenrose Financial Planners.
Chris had a great time visiting Media City in Salford to watch Match of the Day being produced. Fascinating to see the skill and dedication of the production team, to meet Gary Lineker and Shay Given and to see what goes on behind the scenes! It reminded him of how much background work is done at Glenrose in order to present the client with an understandable and suitable financial plan!
Meet the team: Chris Leafe, Director.
Chris founded Glenrose Financial Planners in 1990 and has has over thirty years experience in the Financial services sector with additional stints as a baker and choirboy! Fun fact about Chris is he's the only member of the team who has cut his own record!! Despite it's lack of success, Chris still enjoys his music and is learning to play the drums!
Thanks to Marketing Derby for a really interesting visit to Derby County Football Club today. Paul Warne, Steve Pearson and Simon Carnall gave a very informative talk in which they stressed that Derby County is not just about the football, it's about what the football club means to the City. Everyone involved, from the owner through to the staff and players are all aware of how important their roles are in the club's success, and ultimately its contribution to the City of Derby.
Congratulations to our colleagues Katy and Neil on their recent(ish)! nuptials. We finally have a photo to post! The Glenrose Dating Agency celebrates its first success!😄
