💜 Reminder 💜

We’ve mentioned this previously but we’re getting closer now so it’s time for a reminder post! Next week is our last full week at the warehouse for September.

Our chunky blonde mascot is having minor surgery on Monday September 16th so we will be totally closed that day. We promise it’s minor, it’s necessary, and she’ll be fine. Due to her two week bed rest period afterwards, our despatches will be sporadic. And likely in the evenings (for collection by UPS the next day) when we are able to get a puppy-sitter to stop her messing with her stitches. We wont be able to bring her to work with us as she won’t be allowed to jump into the car, and we dont trust her on her own at home. Other than Monday the 16th, messages will be replied to as normal. It’s the despatches that will take a few days longer. But we’ll do all we can to limit any delays.

We are expecting quite a few trucks of stock to turn up. We have people on site for accepting everything, but they don’t have access to the full system to process orders, and their ribbon tying skills are questionable 🙃

We’ll keep you updated throughout regarding the despatches. All we can say is ‘roll on October’ as September is going to be chaos 😂

💜 Sunday Shenanigans… 💜

We won’t lie. We fully intended on kickstarting September with a ‘daily spotlight’ where we highlighted kits we offer with all the details and links to the artist socials and websites etc…

But we forgot today was September 1st and instead had a fun filled day at the beach with Indy. She had an amazing time though. Plenty of digging and rolling. Watching the horses run down the beach. A sausage cob for breakfast, two ice creams and a donut throughout the day. Loading the car with so much sand from her thick floof that we’ll be cleaning it up for at least 3 months… 🙈

So TOMORROW we’ll start the daily spotlight 😂

Also a reminder, for 2 weeks from Sept 16th, we’ll have limited staff at the warehouse as this fluffy potato will be on bed rest. We don’t trust her at work, and we don’t trust her to leave her at home alone. So we’ll get some puppy-sitters in and we will despatch two days a week for that period 💜

💜 Bank Holiday Pup-date 💜

As is becoming customary on bank holidays, here’s your dose of our Mascot, Indy.

Today she chose chaos and decided her toys needed to enjoy some sunshine in the garden. Her fave of the day is the donut… something I can relate to! 🍩 (it took us ages to get these pics. She is camera shy 😂)

We’ve now broken up for the Bank Holiday weekend! Yes, we’re adding a sneaky day onto it. We’ll be available online but there will be no despatches now until Tuesday.

Today was full of ‘little jobs’. The jobs that never quite make it to the top of the ‘to do’ list. Included in that category was updating our Wonky Kits selection! The majority are due to box damage in transit. We will add some more next week that are customer returns but we need to evaluate them first. There are also some rare ‘Grade 3’ wonky kits (Breathe Of Night) that are priced accordingly (less than cost to us actually) and have full details of what is wrong with them.

Bank Holiday weekend is this weekend (that snuck up on us!) and we will be closed Friday August 23rd and Monday August 26th. We’ll reopen Tuesday August 27th.

Reminder that we are also going to have minimum working hours for the last two weeks of September. We’re going to arrange a couple nights of packing whilst someone keeps an eye on the mascot during those two weeks. But as always we’ll keep everyone updated 💜

💜 Chart 2 Art 💜

You all REALLY don’t waste any time 😂 This has been up on the website for maybe an hour or two and our inbox is filling up with queries…

THIS IS NOT YET FOR SALE! You have not missed out on buying it! We promise. Let us explain 😅

In order to set up the chart download screen, we need the product live to link to it. So like with the Christmas 2023 kit, when you have ordered it, you can use your email and order number to log in and download a digital copy of the chart. We are getting this done in advance. There is a lot happening here over the next 4 months, which we will share when we can (it’s all positive, but time consuming!) so we are being as proactive as we can be.

But this also gives you the option to add it to your ‘restock notification’ emails… so the second we add stock to the listing you’ll get an email. Select the toolkit option as if you were trying to order and it will open up a field underneath to be notified of restocks.

We are not doing pre-orders. We do not yet have stock. We have an estimated date, but as this is likely to change we aren’t releasing that info at this time. But we can promise you, as always, we will keep you updated 💜

Reminder that we are not in the warehouse tomorrow so our next despatch day is Monday.

We will be out of the office (warehouse) Friday August 9th!

All is well, this may happen regularly for a few weeks and we’ll reveal why when we can. But we promise it’s all good stuff 🥰

We do not work weekends here unless we are preparing a new shipment. We are strong believers in a good work/home life balance. That is not to say you are not important! If you send emails or orders over a weekend we will process them when we get back to the warehouse on Mondays. You may see us pop onto our socials to reply to comments but the laptops stay firmly closed 🥰

We spent this weekend nursing this dingbat to health after her SECOND fight with a spicy sky raisin… 🐝 Check out the size of that lip! Whoever said Golden Retrievers were smart clearly lied… as we were out of puppy ice cream to soothe the sting, she ended up with some Ben and Jerrys as a substitute. Followed by some emotional support from her bestie, Maddie 🐶 We promise, she is fine and back to her crazy antics already.

On the positive side - Indy did pass her Kennel Club Foundation Puppy Class on Saturday! 🥇

Since we revealed that we do have more Chart 2 Art concept designs at various stages of production, people have raised concerns about spoilers. We can’t control what people share in groups. We can only ask that if they do share that they add a very clear spoiler warning and put any images in the comments.

What has been suggested a few times, is for us to create a private group specifically for people to share their progress on these kits. There would be some rules around how you share your progress. But what are your thoughts? Would you be interested in a Chart 2 Art group? 👍🏻👎🏻

💜 Phew! 💜

For safety reasons we are finished in the warehouse today 🥵 We are now remaining in the office where there is some air flow 😂 We expect this all week. The overnight temps will bring it down for the morning. So we’ll be packing in the mornings this week based on the current forecasts.

If you don’t know, our warehouse area is like a giant baked bean tin! It gets super hot inside when the weather outside is warm. Even when we raise the shutter doors, there is no breeze.

And before people in other countries come for us - UK peeps are not used to hotter climates so when the mercury rises, we are a bit pathetic 😂

We hope you are all enjoying as much of the sunshine as you can! (Make sure you wear your SPF 50 cream) ☀️
