*IMPORTANT UPDATE*
*Calling ALL University of Derby BA Dance Alumni*
Saturday 13th May 2023 will be our last ever BA Dance End of Year Show. As Liz and I are not ones to be sad about such things, we wanted to celebrate the amazing nine years that this course has given us – so we need your help.
We want to have an Alumni piece in the End of Year Show, and the more of you that can be in it the better. Commitment would be minimal to the following:
Creation / Rehearsal day: Saturday 29th April | 12.30pm – 4.45pm | Deda | Studio 3
Performance Day: Saturday 13th May | Dress run 2pm | Performance 7pm
We do not care if you have not danced in years, all we want is as many faces as possible to help us celebrate through dance.
Please contact me on [email protected] by Sat 15th April to let me know if you are up for joining us.

Our Story
Prepare for your career as a professional dance artist – whether you’re aiming to be a performer, choreographer or dance teacher. You’ll be based at Déda, a regional creative centre for dance, contemporary circus and outdoor performance. You’ll have opportunities to perform in, and present your own work, in the Déda Theatre, with full professional technical support and mentoring.
What you cover:
Four key strands create the signature of the course: the creation and performance of choreography; daily technique dance class; how to develop excellent performance skills for a wide range of contexts; and the study of dance through history, to the present day, including the process of producing dance.
