Love it or hate it, December is here! For some December is filled with excitement and the prospect of the coming holiday season. For others, it can be filled with dread and worry. With the cold short days, expectations of meeting family, or not having family to meet, and the cost that comes with December, it is no wonder so many dread it. It's important not to burden yourself with worry. Try setting realistic goals this year for whatever you perceive Christmas to be. If it is not for you, then be kind to yourself and say "I'm not doing Christmas." Having it as another day is just fine. If you feel burdened or expected, it is okay to say no. If the cost of buying gifts is worrying you, again it is ok to tell people that you are not participating in the giving and receiving of gifts this year. The important thing is your well-being and not doing more than you are able to.
