While the ☀️ was shining this evening, we had plenty of infant & junior cricketers enjoying a magnificent coaching session by Next Generation Cricket Academy coaches down at Parker’s Piece.

Sessions are on every Wednesday with summer camps to be announced soon alongside masterclass sessions from our international coaches.

🚨 Derby City CC vs. Alvaston & Boulton CC U17s Match Summary 🚨

📝 Won by 126 runs

Some magnificent individual performances occurred during this game.

- M.Sadiq the captain, led from the front with an explosive 43 runs, which made him retire.

- Rayan Yousaf opened the batting and made his way to a well-crafted 41 runs, which also made him retire.

- M.Abu Bakar is one to keep an eye on. The 12 year old playing in our Under 17's team backed his talent up with a magnificent match-winning spell of 4 for 8 in his 4 overs.

- Fahad Nadeem showed his experience with a one-over wonder in which he got 3 wickets.

Next up, on Monday, July 1st, we have Clifton CC U17’s in the quarterfinals of the cup.

The young talented all rounder showed his talent yet again when the team needed him the most. This time representing Derbyshire U18s at the age of 15 !

As the season is now warming up, a lot of block bookings are already being taken. We at Derby City Cricket Club are here to accommodate you wherever possible, whether it’s training or playing.

Since taking charge of the ground facilities due to popular demand for the use of the pitch and the nets, we now have limited dates and times available throughout the summer months.

P.S: The open net sessions are FREE for the PUBLIC to use throughout the weekends.

Due to a lot of demand we have put all our infant and junior sessions from now on to every WEDNESDAY at 6pm to 7:30pm.

You will have qualified county pathway coaches and international franchise coaches at the sessions throughout the year with groups split into different age groups in the sessions.

Our lead coach, who is passionate and very self-driven. Having travelled the globe and gained an unbelievable amount of experience whilst working with numerous first-class and franchise teams throughout his coaching career thus far and winning many trophies along the way. Having also worked with many grass-root players through to living legends of the game……Rahim will add a huge amount of value by leading our coaching structure.
