This recipe has been specially created by one of our master bakers - rich buttery pastry paired with a sweet cinnamon filling, and topped with fondant glaze.

Add a freshly brewed coffee and you've got the perfect takeaway breakfast.

We're proud to have supported National Doughnut Week for over two decades- ever since it was set up in 1992 by Christopher Freeman of Dunns Bakery, as a way to use our craft and industry to support children.

Our beloved doughnuts have been made from the same recipe, and loved by you, for decades. Whether caramel, jam or cream doughnuts take your fancy, and whether a trip to pick up a Birds treat is like a trip down memory lane, do pop in and see us this National Doughnut Week!

We are donating 25p for every special edition Double Chocolate doughnut sold, and 20p for all other doughnuts, to The Children's Trust Charity.

Happy National Doughnut Week! 🍩 Here's everything you need to know:

National Doughnut Week is taking place from Saturday 18th until Sunday 26th May. Set up in 1992 by Dunns Bakery, it gives bakeries like ours the chance to support The Children's Trust, the UK's leading charity for children with brain injury.

For the occasion, we present our special edition Double Chocolate Doughnut, complete with a crème pat filling and hand decorated with silky chocolate fondant, Belgian white chocolate spinning and marbled chocolate curls!

We'll be donating 25p from every Double Chocolate Doughnut sold this week, and 20p from all our other doughnuts- jam, cream and caramel.

We’ve so far been able to donate more than £130,000 to The Children’s Trust. These donations go directly to supporting children with rehabilitation, therapy, care and education services, to help them live the best life they possibly can.

We hope you'll join us in helping to turn our doughnuts into donations this year! 💚

Meet Sarah - our human calculator and go-to numbers person.

It’s been just over 3 years since Sarah has joined our flock. Growing up, her dad ran a bakery and she would always look forward to their fresh Battenburg.

Her daily tasks include sifting through mountains of sales data and letting us all know how many doughnuts we need to make. Sarah’s favourite part of working at Birds is sharing an office with our marketing manager...!

And if she could only eat one product from Birds for the rest of her life, it would be a Swiss bun.
