Just dropping in to say happy belated Christmas and wish you all a happy New Year from me and baby boy Ruadh💙

After the most stressed(and blessed) December in living memory we’re ready to enjoy a few weeks of maternity leave for a good rest🤣🙈

As some of you have already guessed I won’t be available for Christmas this year. I’ll hopefully be going on maternity leave in a few weeks time (date tbc) so I wanted to give a heads up for anyone who would like to get booked in before I finish up.

My working hours for the next few weeks will be
Wednesday 10-2
Thursday 10-2.30
Friday 10-2.30
Saturday 10-2.30
I won’t be able to do anymore late appointments going forward x

I’ll get through all messages and requests between tonight and tomorrow.

Unfortunately I won’t be accepting new clients for the foreseeable future and I’ll be cutting out my late working hours in the next few weeks x

I’ll sort through everyone’s messages and requests later this evening. If you’ve been with me a while you’ll be aware that organisation and replying to messages in a timely fashion is not ranked high on my skill set 🙈🤣 I shall endeavour to improve 🤞

I ended up taking an extended break from social media in an attempt at self care (lol) so I’ll be working through my messages today. I’ll be back to work this Friday and have a few appointments available for this weekend. Send me a message to avail 😊xx

Last minute cancellation available tomorrow Thursday the 8th at 12.30pm. Suitable for colour and/or cut.

*colour appointments are not suitable for new clients that have not been patch tested x

As of the 31st of October there will be an increase in the cost of some services.

I’ve put this off as long as possible and tried to reduce overheads myself in a number of areas. But after another increase in electricity today I just can’t justify either operating at a loss or washing your hair in the dark with cold water 🤷‍♀️

A price index is available from the services menu on Fresha. You will notice all prices are “from” meaning the price will vary depending on length, thickness and any styling you ask for.

Clients who have been with me a long time know I’m not a greedy person, I haven’t increased the cost of a cut in 5 years! Unfortunately being self employed means the increase in costs (that we’re all experiencing) can only be countered by increasing costs.

My long suffering husband will be running the Waterside Half Marathon on Sunday the 4th of September to raise funds for SiMBA, a charity that helped us when we lost baby Seán this year. The work this charity does is invaluable to families experiencing the darkest times in their lives so any donations would be much appreciated xx

I’ve taken some social media off my phone in an attempt at self care 🙈🤣 so it is genuinely a few days before I see them. Please bear in mind I’m not able to reply during work hours when I’m 1-1 with clients. Unfortunately (for me) that means time spent on messages in the evening cuts into family time and my home life. While this is a necessary evil I would really appreciate your patience and ask that you don’t use multiple platforms to get my attention as it makes prioritising appointments very confusing.

Once all these slots are confirmed I’m fully booked until mid-May and won’t be reopening my book until the end of this month. (Any clients who attend every 4 weeks I have you pencilled in)

Hey girls just a wee note to say I’ll be making my way back to work in the next few weeks. I know I’ve completely dropped off the face of the earth recently and I really apologise to anyone I’ve had to let down or left waiting for a reply. The good brain function is not what it used to be.

I’ll be phasing back in which means I won’t be taking as many appointments as I used to. I’m aware this isn’t ideal for some clients who already struggled to get appointments with me, so if this is where we need to part ways I completely understand.

Feel free to send me a message to book in. Please don’t ask for a Saturday unless you really can’t do during the week and I won’t be doing late nights until I’m feeling more at myself. I’ll have to prioritise anyone who was cancelled in the last few weeks too so I would really appreciate your patience.

Hi folks, I’m so sorry if this is a triggering post for some people 💙

Some of you will know we lost our baby boy at the weekend. I’m so grateful for all the lovely messages, flowers and prayers, I’ve read them all. After the longest week of our lives we finally got to lay him to rest yesterday afternoon.

I hope you all can understand I need to take some time off now but I can’t say when I’ll be ready to come back. I will message anyone affected individually and I’ll post here when I’m ready to take appointments again.

While I’m here though I’m going to reiterate a few house rules.

I work by appointment only. This means I can only take you if you have booked in advance, I don’t take walk in appointments as I work from home and I have to have boundaries when it comes to working hours.

I am not accepting new clients. Even if you find a sneaky slot on the online booking I will cancel it if you are not a regular. My book is closed for the foreseeable.

My appointments will be drastically limited this year. If you know, you know. Please book appointments and events well in advance. I will do my best to accommodate everyone.

Please don’t assume that I’ve rebooked your next appointment. I barely know what day I’m on so if you haven’t organised your next appointment before leaving the salon please message in plenty of time. Appointments normally book up 3-4 weeks in advance.

Some hairdressers have appointments available “today”. I am not she. She is not me. Please don’t dm me and make it awkward.
