Look out for Kitty in the Chefs Theatre at Didcot Food festival
We are so excited to welcome the wonderful Kitty Tait onto our Chefs Stage at this year's Food Festival!🍞
Kitty Tait is a baker, author and mental health advocate. She left school at 14 after becoming overwhelmed with anxiety and depression. She tried everything to lift her mood but nothing seemed to work until one day she made a loaf of bread.
Kitty fell head over heels in love with bread baking, one thing led to another and 8 months after baking her first loaf Kitty and her dad opened a super successful bakery In Oxfordshire.
As kitty’s bread got better so did her brain, bread changed her life and so now she teaches bread making classes and gives kits to schools, prisons, food hubs and community groups.☺️
If you want to see Kitty at our festival make sure to book your tickets now: https://didcotevents.co.uk/food-festival/

27th Didcot Christmas Street Fair
Didcot Christmas Street Fair will celebrate its 27th event this year . It started in 1994 as a sub committee of Didcot Chamber of Commerce. The organising committee are all volunteers from the community, supported by professional security, funfair, electrical and safety people. In 2016 The Committee became a Community Interest Company under Didcot Events which also organise Didcot Food Festival and Didcot Craft and Gift Festival. These events as well as sponsors pay for Didcot Christmas Street Fair.
Its a great annual event for the Community of Didcot and surrounding villages. Shopping, local community stalls, funfair, live stage, a grand parade lead by Reading Scottish Pipe Band, Father Christmas at The Methodist Hall, Street Food, and Entertainments. The theme this year is Christmas in Song
