Walk Talk Make & Grow sharing our love of nature together.
We had a beautiful evening at Adventuring Angels talking, laughing, singing and sharing food around the fire. Thanks to all who came 💕
A lovely little harvest from the community allotment….tons of beans, tomatoes, pears, plums and cob nuts. Plus the largest carrot we’ve ever grown and some kohl Rabi coming along nicely 💕
We’re at Adventuring Angels tomorrow night (Friday 9th)….celebrating life with a campfire, food, company and music….who’s coming? Bring food to share if you like or just your beautiful selves 💕
Look at us……leading a foraging walk and knowing some stuff about plants…who’d have thought it 5 years ago. Never stop learning and following your passions, you never know what amazing adventures it will lead you to! We hope that everyone who came enjoyed it, we did 💕 Thanks for coming 💕
A lovely sunny evening yesterday foraging lime blossom for Linden tea, finding fabolous fungi (maybe an old dryads saddle) and butterfly watching (comma, ringlet and 6 spot burnet moth). Isn’t nature amazing 💕
So yesterday I found the most amazing chestnut leaves and decided to have a go at making a dress….
Once a forager, always a forager…..
I have now morphed into a real life flower fairy 🤣
We had a busy day at the allotment yesterday weeding beds…..our pumpkins were getting suffocated but they’ve got room to breathe now. Lovely to have some new faces down to help out and old friends too, thanks everyone 💕
Good Morning Everyone💚
There are so many amazing wild beautiful useful plants blooming at the moment it would be such a shame not to have an outdoor workshop and enjoy being out in nature, so we have decided since there was a lot of interest for a tea workshop we would use the last of this funding to host a forage and tea special instead of the previously planned preserves workshop.

Another first for me…..Ivan Chai tea. I missed my window to have a go at making this semi-fermented Russian tea using Rosebay Willow-herb or “Fireweed” last year so struck while the irons hot and made some while there’s loads around in flower. Well worth it, fruity and tastes a bit like cherries 💕
If you want to make this yourself pick long stems of Rosebay willowherb and let them wilt for 24 hours. Strip the leaves and flowers and then rub smallish clumps in your hand until they start getting slightly juicy. Arrange in a dish and then cover with a damp tea towel for another 24 hours. Then put in the oven on a low heat for an hour until it’s dried out completely and it’s ready to use. Enjoy 💕

It felt more autumnal at the allotment tonight after the lovely warm weather we’ve had! Managed to get lots done….weeded the beds and planted out more courgettes, sweetcorn and beans. We have our first cosmos flower too, beautiful 💕
We had dreams….cherry jam, cherry wine, cherry syrup…..
Moral of the story…….pick your cherries as soon as they’re ripe or a couple of days later you come back and the birds have stripped the lot. Boo hoo!!!
We found a visitor in the allotment today ❤️
A beautiful afternoon spent foraging edible and/or medicinal plants to make smudge sticks and teas with…..rosebay willowherb, goldenrod, common Centaury and agrimony to name just a few 💕
Thanks to everyone who came to our midsummer strawberry moon feast last Friday. We had such a wonderful time, hope you did! Huge thanks to Adventuring angles for letting us host there and keeping the fire and food flowing all evening 💕
First time ever making Turkish delight…..one elderflower and one lemon-balm 💕 to be fair the lemonbalm one had more agar agar powder in and has set well; the elderflower had less and is more like cornflour covered slop 🤣 Both taste nice though ❤️
and everyone

Good Morning All
With Regret we have made the decision to postpone the food preserves workshop that was planned for this Saturday 22nd of June until August this will allow us to use locally grown produce from our allotments.
We hope you all understand and are not too disappointed, it will still happen we just need to give our plants a little more time to grow.
We will let you know the revised date as soon as the Grainger Centre get back to us 💚 thank you for all your support and understanding.
Such a fab workshop for our last natural toiletries one with our current funding, lots of new faces as well as our regular lovelies. We made bath bombs, bath tea and a natural deodorant, thanks to everyone who came and your lovely comments 💕
Hi Everyone we have some lovely ideas to decorate the space at Adventuring Angels for the Midsummers Strawberry Moon Feast next Friday.
How amazing would this look 😍
Please 🙏 if anyone has some bright coloured ribbons to donate we would love them
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help us💚
So we are hosting the last of our free natural toiletries workshops tomorrow as our funding has run out, boo hoo. However we’ve had a blast, learnt loads, met so many of you lovely people and are thinking about doing some ones for the general public and charging a fee to make 5 products in 3 hours, say £20 per person. We’ve seen others charging a lot more for the same kind of thing and we will be using our homegrown/ foraged plants as much as we can as usual and providing delicious homemade foraged snacks so we think it would be worth it, do you? Anyway, lots to think about, here’s what we’ve witched up today…..natural deodorant and a bath tea for whoever’s coming tomorrow💕
Was a wet couple of hours today at the community Allotment, but still weeded 2 beds harvested some lovely Radish and sowed some more seeds, our first Cucumber is putting on some size too.💚
