A long weekend at the Festival! I had 25 students taking part.
The standard this year was very high! You all gave it your best shot.
As a teacher, I can see improvement in every individual and this means so much to me. Competitions are difficult but the main competition should be against your past self. Look at how far you have come! 🥰
I am so proud of everyone that was involved, even if you didn’t place. It’s all about improving and having fun.
Speech and Drama is such an amazing extra curricular activity and taking part in the festival is something that not everyone would dare to do.
It takes courage and confidence.

Here is Sophie with adjudicator Susan Mackay after winning acting solo age 10-12! 🩷 and the Fred Green Trophy!

Sophie was one of the youngest in a large group! And she performed “A little Princess” so beautifully. I am really impressed with Sophie’s eager effort to learn and improve. 🫶🏼 she is a superstar!

How amazing is it that Sophie achieved 3 x 1st places out of the 4 she participated in!? 🌟

Yayy! Georgia won acting solo under 10 years! 🥇 and the Gwen Lines Trophy.

It was such a large group with tough competition… but Georgia won 1st place with her piece from “David Copperfield.” 👏🏼

Georgia’s piece was very difficult and mature but she portrayed Emily’s emotions perfectly. Creating a very realistic character.
