This years Christmas jumper day was in aid of the charity Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice https://www.bluebellwood.org/
We raised over £200 for this worth while cause.

OPEN: Wednesday 28th until Friday 30th December
CLOSED: Monday 2nd January, we repoen on Tuesday 3rd January

We are one of the largest turbocharger remanufacturing facilities in the UK, based in Doncaster. We are looking for suitable candidate for a full time position working in our disassembly and preparation department.

As part of the production team, you will be responsible for the disassembly and preparation of turbochargers in readiness for re-assembly. This is dirty but essential work and if you love taking things apart this is the job for you!

You must have an eye for detail with a methodical approach to your work, be able to work to targets in a fast paced environment handling dirty and oily parts, be physically fit and adept at working with hand tools. You will be expected to work from written work instructions under the direction of supervisory staff.

Experience in a similar environment or the automotive industry may be advantageous, but not necessary. Full training will be provided.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30, with the occasional weekend as required. This is a permanent position, after satisfactory completion of a three month probationary period.

Working across the entire operational team, including manufacturing, disassembly, despatch and warehousing, your duties will include:

· Using our systems to collect, collaborate and prepare reports

· Assisting users with computer software and hardware issues

· Speaking with service providers to address issues or make enquiries

· Assisting the Operations Manager to implement new systems, hardware and processes

· Maintaining and updating our digital platforms including our internal database, websites and social media

· Photographing and editing new product images

· Assisting in other areas of the business as and when required

You must have an eye for detail with a methodical approach to your work, be able to work to targets.

It is important to understand the services the company offers, so we are seeking an individual who will not mind working with dusty equipment or handling oily parts and love being ‘hands-on’.

Experience in a similar role and an interest in computers is an advantage, especially Microsoft Excel, PHP and SQL databases. Part of your role will involve photography and editing using Adobe Photoshop, so an interest in this is a plus. We welcome younger applicants who have a passion to learn, so a lack of experience but a willingness to learn will be sufficient. Full training will be provided, along with ongoing personal development planning and support.

Ayrton has just got this sizeable Holset turbocharger in with a boost problem to diagnose. It is off a Case Cursor 13 TF4A engine.

A couple of days ago we had a farmer in with his failed turbo, a Holset 2835039 for a combine harvester. We diagnosed wear to the piston rings within the bearing housing due to carbon and a failed wastegate actuator. Now, with a brand new core assembly, refurbished housings and a brand new actuator, the turbo is ready to be bolted back on. Parts had to be specially ordered from abroad, but working with our suppliers, we managed to turn this around in only 3 days. Let the harvest continue!
