Happy Earth Day!

This year’s Earth Day is themed ‘Planet vs Plastics’. This event brings light to the global commitment of tackling the plastic crisis and aiming for a 60% reduction in plastic production by 2040. In support of this cause, TMB will be:

· Raising internal awareness to how we, as a company and individuals, can reduce our single-use plastic usage. We’ll be sharing information and ideas on the importance of Earth Day and what we’ll be doing to make a difference.
· Signing the Global Plastic Treaty – The petition is a pledge for governmental organisations to take action.
· Challenging our staff by participating in a virtual Plastic Pollution quiz
· We continue to work with Treeapp to plant trees around the world! Treeapp

TMB continually look for news ways that we can operate sustainably which is reflected in our newly-published Sustainability Report 2024. TMB also have ‘cloud-first’ approach, this strategy is better for the environment than traditional on-premise. Cloud services use less energy meaning less carbon emissions, and reduces the need for maintenance visits / cooling systems.

A wonderful three days at Barcelona this week, where we were able to connect with customers, industry colleagues, and friends! Tony Burton & Gary Bristow engaged in scheduled meetings with hoteliers and attended talks surrounding pressing industry topics. An overall invaluable and informative experience which we’ll take away and put into practice for our customers over the coming weeks and months!

TMB are very proud of two members of the team and their recent sporting achievements!

Stuart Taylor completed the Great North Run in 2hrs and 53 minutes. This half marathon is an iconic event with over 57,000 runners. Tony Burton completed the Bournemouth International Triathlon, which comprises of 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run. Tony's time was 2hrs and 32 minutes.

Yesterday was the TMB Charity Walk to raise money for a local charity, the Christchurch Support Kabin.

The walk was 25km along the Jurassic Coast, including a stop at Swanage for fish and chips! The weather was mostly kind and a good time was had by all!

JOB ROLE: Account Manager

As Customer Account Manager your main responsibilities will be to manage existing desk-based accounts and to support the Key Account Managers in the team.
You will be a proactive self-starter to provide first class customer service.
No experience is necessary however candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and interest in IT, this role would be ideal for someone starting their working career with the progression to Key Account Manager if they show an aptitude and ambition to develop their account management skills.

Key Responsibilities
Maximise and retain revenue for an assigned set of accounts
Supporting the Key Account Managers and wider sales team with quotes and renewals and other administration – this will be to help develop your skills and learn business processes.
Act as a point of contact for account queries or issues and liaise with the relevant internal department to resolve them quickly and efficiently
Liaise with the internal teams to manage opportunities. Seek support and guidance as needed to convert opportunities to sales
Develop the skills and knowledge required to sell TMB’s full portfolio of products and services
Ensure the CRM system is kept accurate and up-to-date
Ensure best practice in your approach to selling solutions to meet each customer’s requirements

Required Skills & Experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally over the phone
Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
Enjoys working on own initiative
Able to handle account issues in a patient and friendly manner
Able to demonstrate a high level of computer literacy and Microsoft Office experience
Strong interest in technology and willingness to learn and share knowledge

Preferred
Some knowledge of hospitality industry / sector
Customer Service experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent however this is not essential

Are you a passionate, highly motivated and experienced Support Technician with a strong background in installing, maintaining & supporting IT infrastructure, looking to take the next step towards progressing your career? You will be working with a diverse range of technologies that will enhance your skills. You will be responsible for the escalation of technical support queries on the support desk & will be required to resolve these issues to ensure that tickets & incidents are resolved efficiently. You may be required (occasionally) to visit clients on-site to deal with break-fix issues.

You will be responsible for remotely resolving issues with workstations, servers, network issues & use N-Central to provide remote assistance. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated & be able to work successfully alone as well as part of a wider team.
