Nearly there with the top end rebuild, my z650 was a bit of a heavy smoker so was time for some new rings. Measuring piston ring gap can be tedious but is a step that should never be skipped, fortunately all our new ones were perfectly in tolerance and didn't need adjustment. Freshly honed barrel, new gaskets and o-rings, valves lapped in and now just getting ready to shim it for the new kz750 cams which I've opted to install as a cheeky upgrade.

The 1978 z650 I built for myself last year, zx6r wheels, forks and swinging arm. Whole bike was stripped, media blasted and sprayed gloss black with 2k paint. All nuts, bolts and axles replated or replaced. Brand new stainless Delkevic exhaust system. Custom metalflake and airbrushed candy paint job. Rides way better than i could have hoped for, handles like a sportsbike and accelerates with half of the power of one 😂

Been a while since I've posted on here, seem to be too busy in the workshop. Here's a Benelli that I fitted some new headstock bearings to, I was surprised to find they used ball bearings on such a modern bike, I measured them up and opted for KOYO taper roller bearings instead. The customer was over the moon with the transformation in steering.
