We love it when a client shares a photo of the floor once the room is put back together.
Our client, and therefore we, are so pleased with how this has turned out. This beautiful floor is sustainable bamboo, very hard wearing in an unusual “coffee” colour.

New advert now up in Two Riversmeet leisure centre with some of my favourite jobs featured.

Finished this engineered oiled oak floor in a customer’s living room and helped him put the essential bits of furniture back - tv and sofa! Nice edging around the fireplace and he’s all set for winter.

A bit of community work last week helping get the new scout hut ready for the children with new signage, steps and notice boards.

This mahogany parquet floor needed a lot of restoration. There had been a cupboard under the stairs, a fire hearth and an old doorway when the floor was originally laid and where they were left concrete and mess behind. After buying reclaimed parquet “fingers” (squares of five small pieces together) we repaired all the patches and then sanded and recoated the entire floor with a wax oil to give an uninterrupted finish.

This kitchen had been unused and was having a complete refit, starting with a smart new solid oak floor. All ready for new units and a fresh start!

As a small business it is very difficult to compete with large companies.

All about the prep as we built up the sub floor ready for laying a new wooden floor in the entranceway. Enjoying the beautiful locations we get to work in.

My client today is more interested in playing than keeping out of the way of my sanding machine! 🐕

Before and after. Laid this oak floor in a lounge, hallway and kitchen last week. It looks so smart with the clean lines of the kitchen units and gives a seamless finish through the ground floor.

Utilised a bare space to make a functional storage area in this cupboard. Some simple shelves with clean lines and fresh paint make the world of difference.

An alternative to sanding and refurbishing original boards. When we uplifted the carpet in this hallway the boards were in terrible condition with broken bits and chipboard parts. So we laid a plywood base and then this walnut coloured laminate floor to give a stylish polished finish.

These engineered oak boards in my clients kitchen were showing the wear and tear of a busy home and weren’t looking their beautiful best. We got them polished up and looking as good as new!

Before: A hallway with old parquet in poor condition and a concrete fire hearth in the corner. After: Beautiful warm oiled oak on a level base with damp proof membrane underneath. Natural timber giving a cosy welcoming glow.

An old window transformed into a useful storage space in a bathroom renovation.

A small carpentry project to fulfill a request: a timber frame for a client who is a childminder. The frame became a water wall! Great for the children in this lovely weather we’ve been having.

Fencing this week with a bespoke design. Finished pictures to come later. A change is as good as a rest!

We’re very pleased with our new van, especially with the new sign writing. Now, back to work....!

Exciting developments at H&Co... a new qualification and a new van! We are now officially recognised by the construction industry and welcomed onto building sites because we have shown best practice, knowledge and experience in our field.
