Wear sunscreen … and not just on holiday.

Along with drinking plenty of water, wearing sun protection as part of your skincare routine can help with a multitude of things! The big one being sun damage and pigmentation, but did you know it also helps with the effects of ageing, sun damage over time increases fine lines and wrinkles – no one wants that! And, if you suffer with inflammation or rosacea wearing SPF helps stave off that redness.

Small amount SPF exposure over a life time all add, so add this little habit to your routine.

Looking to book a lash or brow tint? Then you'll need a patch test!

It might seem like a silly thing, but I need to see you at least 48 hours before your appointment to make sure you won't have any reactions to the products used.
Not only is it so I can make sure you have the best, most comfortable experience at Coco Mango, it's also the law under the health and safety act.

Do you need a patch test?

Patch tests are needed for all new clients, anyone who's not seen me since before having a Covid vaccine and if I change my product lines. If you’ve had your lash or brows tinted recently by me, you don’t need one - you’re good to go!

How’s your exfoliating routine?

Are you a ‘Smooth Operator’, or maybe you’re a little more ‘No Scrubs’?

Here are a few good reasons to consider at least exfoliating now and again

1 - body scrubs and exfoliation remove dead skin cell, this allows your products to be absorbed into your skin properly - no wasted products! This is especially important if you love a bit of fake tan!

2 - It helps unclog pores and can help prevent ingrown hairs.

3 - Smoooooother skin, of course! It leaves your skin feeling smoother and more radiant.

I know it;s January, everyone's feeling the pinch and we're all maybe a little miserable after Christmas and the New Year... so maybe a massage is on the cards. It's THE treatment you think of when you mention pampering or a spa day.

We often think of it as an indulgent treat, but regular massage treatments are SO good for your physical and mental wellbeing.

Here are 3 way massage can help you stay on top of your wellness.

1 – Anxiety relief

If you suffer with anxiety, or are just stressed right now, massage can help! It seems frivolous, but I promise it isn’t! During massage your parasympathetic nervous system (calming) response is increased throughout the body, which helps calm anxiety, with an effect that lasts beyond your treatment.

2 – Eases muscle pain.

This is the obvious one, but releasing tension and knots in your muscles helps the other muscles around it relax as well, assisting with injury prevention and recovery. The same why we instinctively rub our elbows when we hit them on a table to help relieve the pain, massage does this but better!

3 – Can help improve your sleep

Do you have trouble sleeping? Happens to us all, massage can help with that. Interrupted sleep comes from many sources, stress, anxiety, discomfort. During a massage your nervous system slows down due to the pressure applied by the therapist… When you can’t sleep it’s because your nervous system is active, so your body can’t rest. This why you often can feel sleepy during a massage!

I’ve found a starfish earring in the salon has anybody lost one?

It’s been a year!!

Well I can’t quite believe it but I’ve had my doors open for one whole year, and I’ve survived! It’s been hard work but totally worth it. There is still a lot of hard work to go but I am 100% commited to making Coco Mango a success and giving all you wonderful people out there some amazing treatments.

✨ 2 Weeks to go...

Eyebrow times! Book in for a waxing, shape and tint. Keep on top of them by tweezing any stray hairs at least one day before to avoid any redness.

Another facial? Something gentle and cleansing, avoid any harsh chemicals or exfoliation. We're all about the glow and relaxation now!

✨ A few days before...

Get those nails refreshed and looking fabulous. Grab a gentle face mask and relax at home after your treatment.
