With the warmer weather finally arriving one of our clients wanted some doggie inspired covers for her dog's cooling mat. These are simple envelope cushion slips which are easy to take off to clean.

We are excited to be launching our sewing classes at our workshop in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon starting in June. We will be offering:

Sewing Surgery
Every Wednesday starting on the 19th June, 4-6PM. A weekly group where you can come and share your knowledge. £5.00

New To Sewing
A sewing class for the complete beginner. 17th June, 6-8PM. £30.00

Piped Envelope Cushion
A beginner to soft furnishings class, where you will learn to make a piped envelope cushion. 24th June, 6-8. £25.00

Curtains, Measuring, Fullness And Pattern Repeat
A class that will help you to understand this side of curtain making before the sewing begins. 1st July 6-8PM. £25.00

'Dancing Daffodils' by Siobhan McEvoy . Siobhan was born in Dublin and now lives and works in Norfolk. She has always had a love of the arts and would spend a lot of time in the meadows near her family home while growing up. Her work focuses on the natural landscape and human connection with nature.

Feather Interiors came across Siobhan via and we were pleased to be able to exhibit her work in our showroom. We currently only have one of her pieces left, priced at £950. It is available to purchase in our showroom or on our website.

With summer just around the corner, why not give your garden furniture a new lease of life with some new cushions. We can work with your original cushions, or you can bring us a template and we can provide new foam and made-to-measure cushions.

We had a great time at the trade show in beautiful Cheltenham. After meeting with leading industry representatives we are delighted to be heading back to Stoke-sub-Hamdon with new accounts created and more fabric books acquired that will enhance what we can offer. Do pop into our showroom soon and see what we have to offer

A lovely pair of curtains which we have just hung, this client wanted the curtains to go just behind the radiator so they didn't lose any heat in the winter months. We carefully measured so the curtain would finish a few inches below the top of the radiator so the curtain would tuck behind and stay.

Beautiful curtains from a recently completed alteration job. We don't just make bespoke curtains but can do alterations to your existing curtains, too. We loved getting this feedback: "Bronwen has altered a number of curtains to fit after our house move. Some involved a complete remake! Fast service and good value."

There are only 19 days until we open our new showroom in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon, so we thought we would show you what we have been doing in the workroom. One of our lovely clients had some odd shaped windows in their holiday home and wanted a way to simply block out the light. Templates were made from lots of measurements and these were the end results. The client requested that the blinds be as simple as possible, and when up minimal light was blocked.
We love a challenge, and we will always take the lead from what you want. Where possible, we will make what you want happen. As part of our making process, we will come out and measure, and we will also come and hang the curtains if you desire, making sure they hang perfectly.

While I was busy this afternoon making a blind and a pair of curtains, Willow was busy on her own project for the showroom. She has been carefully making some cute bird themed keyrings. Family business at its best, it is lovely to see her enjoyment in sewing

We have been busy at the workshop the last few days! The workshop is slowly coming together. Yesterday not only did we have my Dad helping, but we even got the 16 year old out of bed! We wouldn't be able to do any of this without our amazing family support.

Today we got the keys to our new workroom/showroom. We have a lot of hard work over the next few weeks getting it ready, but can't wait to keep you all up dated with the progress as we go

Another happy customer. One pair of eyelet curtains and 2 roman blinds. All made from Laura Ashley fabric. I've been working for a while with this client on other rooms in her house and this was the last job. It's lovely to see her house all finished but I always feel alittle sad when a big job like this is finished.
