Students can gain two industry recognised Microsoft Certificates as part of the programme and will receive training to prepare for two further certificates!

We are excited to announce that we are launching Digital Skills Bootcamps from January 2022!

The Bootcamps consist of 192 Guided Learning Hours spread over up to 16 weeks. Bootcamps are a great way to support someone at the start of their Digital Career or upskill someone already in the Digital Sector!

Digital Isle of Man has announced its partnership with Readynez Isle of Man, a digital training provider, to offer 300 free spaces on its First Steps Digital Literacy Course, aimed at supporting the development of beginner to intermediate digital skills for Isle of Man residents.

The beginner’s course will cover various aspects of digital literacy including how to use search engines, how to protect devices and data, and the basics of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).

Lyle Wraxall, Chief Executive, Digital Isle of Man commented:

‘The demand for digital skills is a global challenge, and here in the Isle of Man the digital sector is growing rapidly, with digital transformation accelerating in every business sector and area of life. For our people to thrive in a connected economy and society, digital skills must be prioritised alongside literacy and numeracy skills, and we are very excited to be able to offer this course as a first step in our wider skills initiative and towards achieving greater digital confidence for all of our Island residents.'

Digital Isle of Man in partnership with Readynez Isle of Man are offering 300 free places on our Digital Literacy online training programme.

These initial 300 spaces have been funded through the Isle of Man Government Economy Recovery Group.

The programme begins with basic digital literacy, including how to connect to the internet and keeping yourself and your data safe online, through to a foundation and intermediate level for Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint)

The Intermediate (or Practitioner) Level is suitable for those already in the workplace and may want to brush up on their skills!

All learning takes place on our Readynez365 Learning Platform and learning can take place at the individual's own pace!

Whether you are at the beginning of your career, looking to upskill into a new direction, currently not working or looking to test your skills and add a new certificate to your CV - we hope you will find the 12 hours+ of material available in the two learning paths useful.
