100 YEARS!!!!!

Happy 100th Birthday to Colebourn Home Entertainment and Appliance Centre!

This evening the mayor invited Phil Colebourn and the team into City Hall to congratulate them on this fantastic milestone. Phil’s grandfather, Mr T H Colebourn first opened the business in October 1924 on the corner of King Street/Ridgeway Street, in which is now their loading bay. Over the years the family expanded into neighbouring premises and 100 years later are still trading from the same corner site in the heart of Douglas city centre.

100 years ago when the shop originally open, they manufactured and sold wireless sets/radio’s. Moving with the times, 60 years ago it became television and 10 years later colour television. Colebourn’s continue to showcase the latest consumer electronics and domestic appliances along with wonderful customer service.
