BEWARE WHEN CHOSING BLINDS FOR SASH WINDOWS.

We have come across now on a few occasions fixed blinds in a frame set inside the reveal of Sash Windows.

Although the blinds look great and are of great quality they stop the sash window tilting.

Not only is the tilt on a sash window for cleaning the outside of the window from the inside it's also for repair and maintenance. Preventing access to the springs and mechanisms to regularly maintain can become very costly when the springs break due to not being serviced.

It's a bit like putting a padlock on your car bonet and throwing away the key.

When ordering blinds for sash windows set in a frame be sure to ask the supplier, will I still be able to tilt and service my sashes.
