We are super happy to have found a new Taiwanese friend in She brought us some purple creamy chicken siu long baos! They are so pretty and so yummy.

Mavis advises us to eat it in one bite. But let them cool down a little first. ☺️

This cute dumpling is one of our new additions to our upcoming Spring menu. Which we guess still hasn't arrived, given that it snowed today?!?!

So some of you have been asking if Mama Dang is real? Yes she is! Born in Malaysia, fled to the Caribbean, and finally settling in South East London.

Flanked by her little dumplings, Mama Dang started this business just to feed their voracious appetite for char siu baos and siu long bao soup dumplings.

Let's hope her kids have something planned for Mama Dang on Mother's Day....if you haven't planned yet, our family meals make a fantastic Mother's Day Dim Sum Brunch :-)

What was the origin of the Espresso Martini?

In the early 1980's, Fred’s Club was a cool members bar located in Soho. One day, a young model sidled up to the bar and asked for something to “wake me up and f**k me up”.

The bartender's solution was a combination of vodka, fresh espresso, coffee liqueur and sugar, shaken into a frothy mix of bittersweet addiction.

We love having this drink as a digestif to help you recover from your dim sum binge, but it could quite as easily be an aperitif to your evening!

Christmas is a time for sharing...dim sum and cocktails! Orders for our festive party boxes for Four and Six People are flying out the door.

Many people have ordered for Christmas Eve (something different before the turkey extravaganza perhaps?).

The Har Kau is a dim sum must have! A prawn dumpling wrapped in translucent skin with carefully folded pleats. Inside, the prawn is combined with finely chopped bamboo shoots and a generous sprinkling of white pepper. It’s delicious in it’s simplicity but also tastes amazing when dipped in the soy and black vinegar sauce that we provide with each din sum meal kit ☺️

Rebooting Dim Sum and Cocktail Joy for November

We know we told you we would be back in October, but sadly the mad goings-on in the world have set us back a while. Bloody Brexit, Bloody Petrol Shortage.

What have we been up to?
So we have been plotting away all Summer; we are going NATIONWIDE. Please tell your friends when we are ready. 😉


Mama Dang has been plugging all our East Asian connections including Vietnam and Tibet to bring you an exciting VEGETARIAN OPTION. We are really proud of this one, as it's been a long slog to make sure that we can provide a menu that has both a great variety and flavour.

Our little baos have been ever so busy to make sure our new dishes pass their taste tests.

So thank you so much for your patience, and please bear with us a little longer to get your dim sum fix before Xmas. We will let you know when we have a definitive launch date.

This brings back so many memories for the Dang couple. As a child growing up in London, Mr Dang didn’t want to go to the big supermarkets, but Mr Dang’s mum had a trick up her sleeve. (All parents know sweets do the trick!) And when Mumma Dang was in Malaysia she knew where her parents hid the sweets in their kitchen 🤫
White Rabbit is a South East Asian sweet milk treat wrapped up rice paper that melts in your mouth.
As we go through this journey Mumma Dang and Mr Dang want to share their cultural experiences with you 🐇
