We are hiring!

We are looking to hire an experienced person to join our front of house team. Our front of house team cover all aspects of the hotel including bar/waitering and light reception duties. You should be confident working on your own or as part of a team.
Working 5 days out of 7 approximately 35 hours a week. This will involve some evening and weekend work. Wage will be dependent on experience.

Back for 2024! After the success of last year's competition, come and join us on Dunbar's High Street / West Port and see if you can "Spot The Malarky".

22 businesses in the town centre are taking part this year. Look in all their windows and see if you can spot the item in the display that they would not normally sell. Forms will be available at the Town House Museum, John Muir's Birthplace and BeGreen.

The final list of businesses will be posted later this week and there are prizes for winners picked out of a hat.

Due to existing bookings for today (Thursday 20th) we won’t be able to take anyone else for lunch until 12.30pm
We always try and accommodate walk ins but as we are heading into summer we are getting far busier. We would always recommend booking.

Please note that the restaurant is fully booked today (Tuesday 18th) and we will be unable to take anyone for lunch in the bar or outside between 12.30pm & 1pm due to having a large group booking.

As part of Dunbar Civic Week, Dunbar Theatre Workshop will be hosting a Shadow puppet show in the back room of the Mack at 10.30am on the 15th June.

Just a reminder we are closed from 3pm on Friday 31st and reopen on Saturday 1st at 12pm. We will only be doing drinks on Saturday. Apologies for any inconvenience caused but we’ve got a birthday to celebrate 🥳

We are super excited and looking forward to our first Wishing Tree by the Sea Dunbar Monthly Food & Craft Market this Sunday, 19th May.

Parking is limited so we are encouraging everyone to get active - walk, cycle, scoot or take the bus to Lauderdale Park. Check the map for the exact location.

Public toilets are available at Bayswell Road and in the cafe.
