WE'RE BACK 🎉🎉🎉. AND WE'VE MISSED YOU!!!
Robertson's Primary opens for the new session next Tuesday - 16th August, and we can't wait to see all of our students (old and new!) again 😍
We have boosted our numbers over the break, and are now starting with even more students than before. Everyone would like to welcome our new starts to the Robertson's family 👋👋👋👋.
In order to accommodate everyone, we have also taken on a couple of new tutors 👨🏫👩🏫who we can't wait to introduce you to. More staff always means more spaces, and we do have some availability moving forward, so please get in touch if you have still to reserve your spot, or even if you just want a chat about how we can help.
You can also still call to request more information about our new group sessions. We can't wait to get those up and running and to see our young people learn together 👫.
In the meantime though, enjoy what is left of the break, and we will look forward to seeing everyone again over the next couple of weeks. Here's to another successful term of learning 👍

The Robertson’s primary team want to send their very best wishes to all of our secondary students for tomorrow. We wish you the best of luck and hope you all get the results you want and need.
Remember though , this is a measure of your performance on a day. It doesn’t define you and, whatever happens, it shouldn’t stop you striving to achieve your dreams.
Fingers crossed for you all. We look forward to hearing about all of your successes 🤞🤞
One sleep!
I hope more than anything you all get the grades you deserve...the team await your news tomorrow- we are right here to congratulate, support and guide🤞🤞
Lorraine and Team Robertson’s xx
You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do ❤️
We might only be a third of the way through the holidays ☀️☀️, but our thoughts are already beginning to turn to next session and to timetabling for the new term 📅.
A number of our tutors 👩🏫👨🏫are already working to capacity, but we do have some spaces available for next year, and also have a lovely new tutor who will potentially be starting with us and will be able to offer additional sessions 👏👏 .
This is the time then, to get in touch if you are thinking about tutoring for your child. We do get busy once schools go back, so it is best to get booked in before then in order to secure a place either online or in centre.
Remember too, that we are also offering group tuition 👫👫 next session for small groups of children from P5 - 7. Depending upon interest we may also extend this to other age groups.
If you are interested in booking a place, or even making further enquiries, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are always delighted to welcome new children into the Robertson's family 🥰.

🎉🎉What a week! What a month! 🎉🎉
Lots of goodbyes to seniors filled with pride and excitement and happy tears 🥲 🙌🎉. The team can’t thank our students and their families enough for all the unnecessary but very thoughtful gifts🎁 , cards and messages. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have been even a small part of your journey 🌍. We can’t wait to hear from you in August 🙏🏽.
Goodbyes are just too sad… sooo it’s not goodbye it’s hello to a new adventure…🙌
…and this week alone- Robertson’s had 🎉24 new students starting their Robertson’s adventure 😅 🎉… Then we also have,of course, our younger students who are continuing on 🥰and some seniors who are on exam leave but will be back again with the team for support with highers/advanced highers starting in June or August👩🏻🎓📚🎉.
(Due to Robertson’s continuing expansion we do have some availability in our primary and secondary sections. However, spaces are limited and ,unfortunately, there may be a wait to find an option that suits. We highly recommend noting an interest soon as possible.)
Also …did someone mention we won another award this week? 😉🙌📚 🎉
Thank you, as always, for putting your trust in this small team. At Robertson’s each tutor goes above and beyond because we truly care, we absolutely have the most amazing students with the most supportive families and …we simply love what we do, Team Robertson’s xx
As we get closer to the summer holidays ☀️☀️ (how did that happen!!) we are starting to plan for next session. A number of young people 👩🦰👩🦱 are moving on to work with our secondary team, so we have some capacity available now within primary.
Spaces however, traditionally go quickly so if you, or anyone you know is interested in tutoring support next session (either face to face 👩🏫 or online 💻 ) now is the time to say.
Give us a call on 07767456621, or message us through our page to express an interest or book a space 😄😄
A proud day for the team. Thank you to everyone for their support 🙏🙏
🎉Best Education Centre in Scotland 2022 🎉
Turns out Friday the 13th was lucky 🍀 for team Robertson’s 🎉
I had a lovely surprise phone call today 📞☺️. Robertson’s won the award in 2021 and I was told today it’s extremely rare to win two years in a row! 🤩
Thank you to all who continue to support this team… each like, share and word of mouth recommendation helps more young people and their parents have the opportunity to find out that there is high quality support out there- by a team that are truly invested and truly care💕….of course, the biggest thanks goes to this amazing team of tutors and the fabulous students we are privileged to support 📚💕
Sometimes life can seem a bit too much and mental health issues can make any type of formal learning almost impossible to achieve☹. Anxiety and depression are very real barriers for many young people and can lead to poor attendance and gaps in education😔. If you (or your child) are having difficulty accessing the right kind of education - maybe we could help by providing day time tuition in our small, friendly centre. No judgements❤. No pressure💙. Just help with your own personal journey🙏. One step at a time.🚶♂️🚶♀️😊
Wishing all of our students and families a very happy Easter. Looking forward to welcoming everyone back 🐰🐰
Wishing all our students and their families a very happy Easter break. See you all back week beginning 18th April.
A very happy Mothers' Day to all our wonderful mums and the other women who fill that role. Wishing you all a fabulous day 🌷🌷🌷
On this International Women's Day our thoughts in particular are with the incredible women of Ukraine who have left husbands, fathers, sons and brothers behind in order to find safety and refuge for themselves and their children. Their bravery, courage and resilience is extraordinary, and we stand behind them in their efforts to find peace. 💓💓💓

Happy birthday to us
Happy birthday to us.......🎂 🎉🎉🎉🎂
A year ago today we registered Robertson's Primary with Companies House as a separate business and created a primary team unique from our secondary colleagues. And what a year it has been!!
We started in lockdown, moved back to face to face tutoring in centre , whilst still keeping some of our students online 💻, and have ended the year having to move into a larger office in order to accommodate all of the young people who have asked for our support.
We have almost doubled our number of tutors👨🏫 , and have increased our student numbers to 78 👧🧒
We have worked in collaboration with Kanzen Karate 🥋, Showcase the Street 🎭, Thornton's solicitors and Dundee Football Club ⚽️⚽️ to support close to 100 additional students through lockdown, and have donated money to various local charities in order to support Christmas toy and book appeals. And we have met some wonderful people in the process.
So a big thank you 🙏🙏 to everyone who has supported us in our journey so far. To all of our parents / carers and families 👨👩👧👧, to our wonderful team of tutors, who continue to provide such high quality support to everyone who needs it, and to Lorraine, who trusted us with her baby and allowed us to grow and develop as a separate organisation. Your support has been invaluable 💓💓💓
Things are going to be busy moving forward, but we are looking forward to whatever comes next and to supporting even more young people in their learning journey. Hopefully you will all continue to travel with us and help us grow even more!
Children's Mental Health Week - 7th - 13th February 2022
Today is the start of children's mental health week. The last 2 years have been really difficult for all of our young people and I am sure, like us, you have all seen signs of heightened anxiety, stress overload and distressed behaviours. None of it pleasant to witness but, when you think about it, none of it surprising.
When we took children out of school, we took them out of a place which provided them with structure and routine, and which allowed them the opportunity to interact with their friends and develop social skills.
We blurred the boundaries between home and school, and created a situation where mum (in my case grandma😫😫) suddenly became the teacher, and the dining room table, which used to be used to share stories about the day, became the school desk.
The tension in houses as parents tried to juggle home working, with home schooling was huge and, as adults, we found it challenging. To young minds, which hadn't had the same opportunities to build up resilience or develop coping skills, it was even more difficult.
All of this has had a significant impact on the wellbeing of our young people and it is to their huge credit that they have coped as well as they have.
We are hopefully moving forward now though, and are in a better position to start to rebuild some of the damage that has been done.
However, we also have to remember the huge number of children who were experiencing mental health difficulties pre-pandemic, and who will continue to struggle to cope now that things are back to normal.
Mental health services for children are stretched to the limit and there is not enough capacity to support the numbers needing help. It will be really important then, for governments to ensure that, in building back the NHS, they take the mental health of children seriously and work to ensure that support is there when it is needed. Our children deserve that and we need to see them smile again.
And for parents and carers struggling to support a child with mental health concerns, always remember that you need to look after yourself too. There is a reason why you are told in an aeroplane to put your own oxygen mask on first. Be kind to yourselves and take time out to smell the roses!!
The theme of Mental Health week is 'Growing Together'. Let's focus on how we can do that and how we can help each other get to the other side of a really horrible time 💓💓💓
New fortnightly slots available on Mondays from 6 - 7 or Wednesday from 5 - 6. If interested please message us or give us a call
