Hello 😀 from your NHS Diabetic Eye Screening Service. We have a busy day ahead of us. Today we are in Stracathro, but not only that, we also have clinics in Dundee and Perth. See you all there!
If you are coming into hospital it is important to bring in a supply of any medications you are taking.
This is to make sure you do not miss any doses, any new medicines prescribed in hospital are safe to use with your existing ones, your medicines go with you when you move to another ward or go home, and it also helps to reduce wastage.
This may include:
• tablets, capsules or liquids
• inhalers
• injections
• creams or ointments
• sprays or drops
• patches
• vitamins, minerals or supplements
• any other prescribed items or items bought from a chemist, supermarket or herbal shop
Please bring your medicines in the original packaging. If you have left your medicines at home, we may ask for a relative or carer to bring them in for you.

Accessing minor injury service at new location in Arbroath Infirmary
The Minor Injury and Illness Service at Arbroath Infirmary has moved to a new area in the hospital.
The public still must call 111 before attending – but the team are in their new location and ready to welcome patients.
The Minor Injury and Illness Service in Arbroath Infirmary attends to suspected broken bones and fractures, cuts, minor burns, sprains and strains that you cannot treat at home.
Catherine Carrie, Senior Nurse for Urgent and Unscheduled Primary Care in Angus said, “We have an amazing Minor Injury and Illness team who are specially trained and committed to provide the best possible care to our patients and our community.
“In most cases we are able to treat people quickly and appropriately so they can return home, but there are times when we need to transfer people to the emergency department because they are very unwell.
“Please remember that you cannot drop in to the service without an appointment. You should always call 111 before attending Minor Injury and Illness Services to ensure you are appointed to the most appropriate place to receive care.”
Gail Smith, Chief Officer for AHSCP said, “We know the population of Angus value care provided by the Minor Injury and Illness Service where people can access urgent and unscheduled care for a range of minor injuries.
“We are in the process of reviewing how urgent and unscheduled care is provided across Angus and an important aspect of this process will be engaging with our communities.”
If your condition isn’t life-threatening, you should call NHS 24 on 111, day or night, to access the right care. Or contact your GP practice during the day. If it’s an emergency, you should still call 999 or go straight to A&E. More info can be found at NHSinform.scot/right-care
