Just a polite reminder to patients to bring change along to their appointments for the car park as we don't often have change to give out to patients due to the lack of cash payment intake :)

It is a private car park therefore we don't set the prices, however it is currently £2.40 for a minimum of 2 hours.

Waterside Dental Care will be closed from the 23rd-27th of December.

We are looking for a fully qualified and GDC registered Dental Nurse to join our team here at Waterside Dental Care. We are a busy, mixed NHS/Private practice down at City Quay in Dundee.

Trainee applicants may be considered.

This is a full time position.

The ideal candidate will be friendly with a professional chairside manner and have excellent communication skills. Experience with the system R4 would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is Corrie Cunningham,

Corrie is a Trainee Dental Nurse here at Waterside and started with us back in August 2021. She is currently studying towards becoming a fully qualified Dental Nurse.

In her spare time, Corrie likes to travel and try new foods. She also likes socialising with family and friends 🥰

Briony started dental nursing in 2010 and qualified in 2014🦷

She first started with Waterside Dental Care in April 2020. In Briony’s spare time she likes to walk her dogs on the beach and trying out new restaurants 🍟🍕

**.. Practice update ..**

After the Scottish Health Ministers briefing on Friday 19th March 2021 stating that Dental services should be back to normal, we would like to inform you of the correct and current position within our Practice at this current time.
We are only supplied PPE provisions for 10 NHS patients, each dentist, per day, this is the current guidelines from the Scottish Government and it is about a third of the patients we saw previously.
In order for us to do this, we must prioritise patients with pain, swelling, trauma and concerns about their oral health. With a large proportion of appointments being used to treat patients with problems, there is very limited space for routine check-ups.
When we have to carry out treatments that involve drilling, the room must be left empty for 30 minutes after for fallow time and cleaning, this also impacts on the number of patients that can be seen in a day.
Dental practices have followed Scottish Government guidelines throughout the pandemic and continue to do so. There can be no denying that this has resulted in a backlog of treatment.
