Co-authors Ian & John Jarvis of Jarvis Eyecare, along with Sara McCullough from Coleraine University have just had their practice-based research published in an internationally renowned journal.

This research showed that a short course of an antibiotic eye drop, azithromycin, has a long-term impact on a chronic form of dry eyes, meibomian gland dysfunction.

This is highly significant, as up until now, there have not been any long-term treatment options available for this condition.
