Civic Square is a community interest company with a bold approach to visioning, building & investing in civic infrastructure for neighbourhoods of the future.

Looking for an accountant with a design-led ethos, they approached us to help them transform what they do.

We remodelled Civic Square’s entire accounting system to fit their business, replacing an out-of-the-box Xero setup with a tailored accounting solution.

This bespoke accounting setup meant we could help Civic Square report on their ‘missions’: why they do what they do and their purpose, giving them the richness of information they needed about their organisation and how it works.

The result was a total financial transformation, clarity in the numbers and confidence for the way ahead, as Civic Square became empowered to take control of their finances and use them in a way that made sense to them as a business.

We recently met with Full Stop Accounts in Bristol to explore some of the challenges in the accounting industry and how we might work to tackle them together.

The accounting industry has shifted vastly in recent years, with tech and automation radically changing the way we deliver our services.

Whilst accounting technology has improved our processes as accounting businesses, we both agree that our industry needs a set of standard processes for all accountants to follow to help us collectively deliver more value to the people and organisations we serve.

Our recent trip explored what and how those standards might look and what we need to do to make them a reality.

Together with Full Stop, we collected some research and findings that we’re excited to develop and share with our wider network of accountants and software partners over the coming months and weeks.

A few days of collaboration and idea-sharing in Bristol was the first step in an exciting project we hope will drive real positive change in our industry, create a better experience for accountants and business owners, and how we work together going forward.

71 Brewing is a modern, flavour-forward brewery located in the heart of Dundee. They approached us to help modernise their accounting setup and unearth valuable financial data to grow their business.

Our team worked with the owners to migrate their accounting platform to Xero, introduce a new brewery management system, bring the data to life with reporting tools, and create dynamic budgets and forecasts to secure funding for growth.
