Replacement Window for our customer in Dunfermline who runs an Air BnB.

Brand new A rated casement style window for their kitchen.

The previous window had only been a few years old, however! It was designed incorrectly, the window was one large tilt & turn.

The window had malfunctioned due to the weight of the window opening sash on the hinges. The handle height was also difficult to get up to, reaching over counter tops and sinks.

With it being the kitchen and also an Air BnB with guests coming and going. Our customer was happy to take our advice in design and change in style. The openers are now within reach as handles are to the bottom. The windows are simple casement windows pushing out for ventilation. Customer can still get great views of the busy street and can also put up blinds as a result of moving away from the tilt & turn style.

All in all one happy customer. 👍🏼

Due to ongoing growth, there is an opportunity at Merv’s Plastics for a Trade counter/ Warehouse assistant, You will be part of a small dynamic team ,working with the owner of the company whilst also you will be given the opportunity to use you own initiative.

Role: Trade counter/ Warehouse assistant
Hours. 37.5 (Total a week)
Hours: 07.30 – 16.00 Mon – Fri, 09.00 – 12.00 every second Saturday
Salary: 11.50 P/h
Holidays: 28 Days Per Year

Your duties will include :
Serving and supporting customers at the trade counter to find the correct products.
Processing orders and customer payments.
Delivering stock to local customers in XLWB Van.
Quality control of Bespoke products.
Maintaining branch standards - including warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness and point of sale
Driving a Forklift truck. (Training provided)
Helping with day to day operations.

Essential Requirements:
Full UK Driver Licence
Basic IT skills
Aged 21 or over (For Insurance reasons)
Willing to deliver exceptional customer service.
Confident and happy to approach and service customers and proactively engage with potential new customers.
Comfortable to work on their own
Experience working in a Builders merchant or with UPVC building products would be advantageous.

A good old fashioned glazing repair. Single glazing was smashed. ‘Chipped’ out the broken glass and old putty. Replaced with new 4mm float measured and cut on site. A simple but satisfying job. 🪟🔨

Well done to Kian Whisker who won our Morgan Group player of the month trophy for last month.

Kian has improved massively over the last 4/5 weeks and is starting to really come out of his shell. His dribbling has really come on in particular and this helped him in scoring a goal in our friendly against Kelty last week and also another couple at training. His behaviour is absolutely brilliant in every session and has never caused any of the coaches a bit of bother whatsover.

🪟🔨Replacement Double Glazed Units🔨🪟

Due to size of the unit an upgrade to 6mm toughened safety glass was required. The unit specification itself - argon gas filled units, low-e coating to inside glass pane, warm edged spacer bar all designed to maximise heat retention within the home.

Result is, very happy customers 😄 with a cosy comfy living room. In addition, we also replaced the gasket / seals to all windows & removed the internal and external silicone seals on all windows to then renew and redo the silicone seal for better and improved weather proofing. All in a days work.

Very well done young man. Tremendous effort and energy. Keep it going.
