Why Do the Clocks Change?

* The Origins: The practice of changing the clocks originated in 1916, during WWI. Germany officially adopted daylight saving time to conserve coal and increase productivity. Other countries quickly followed suit, and the practice had become widespread by the end of the war.

* The Benefits: At the height of summer, the UK enjoys a fantastic 16 hours and 50 minutes of sunlight. However, that shrinks to a measly 7 hours and 40 minutes by the winter solstice. Putting the clocks back helps us take advantage of the little daylight we get. The mornings are lighter which makes it easier for children to get to school safely. It’s also important for agriculture. If the clocks didn’t go back, dairy farmers in the North of the UK would be working in the dark until 9am!

I’m not one for writing any kind of reviews negative or positive. But I felt I that I had to as jake and will are good people And humbling. So it was my best friend John’s bday on Tuesday the big 40 😉. So speaking to will and John about the Hugo boss watch myself and my wife got him for the big 40 bday. He needed a few Links taking off as I wanted him to wear the watch on his trip to Poland for the big 40 😂. we got to Dr.fix last night at 1645 and he said he was shutting at 6pm could we wait and I said would it be ok to come back at 5:50pm so we agreed to leave the watch with him and take my bro ( John) for something to eat and a pint. I asked to pay upfront I was told pay when you come back. So that’s all good.

I got back tried to hand the gentleman money and he said “ that’s a good thing to do with your best friend on his bday tge repair is on us it’s free….WOW I was shocked with a bit of conversation, I asked please let me pay and if a pensioner came in or an old couple give them that offer but i thanked him so
Much. I know there is will and jake that work there I can’t thank them enough as the watch is great and there humanity to offer it for free really did shock me.. well I’ll be going in with all watch’s all the time I’ve sent requests to all my friends to go as they are genuine ppl
