Stunning family home now documented in pencil and ink as a forever keepsake. Angles and viewpoints agreed during the planning process, but it was easy to agree to draw from the bottom of the driveway and include the trees, which I drew with less foliage and overhanging branches so the house remained the main feature.
Christmas order book closing soon.
This one was drawn to A3 size - perfect wall hanging piece when framed.
Normal service has resumed, I haven't posted any completed pieces in a while.
A family home commissioned for a birthday gift. A few tweaks and additions from the reference photos such as lower hedges to see the house better, flower pots and hanging baskets added in.
This one is an A3 - if you want a wall hung piece I'll always recommend A3 as a minimum size or bigger.
I'm unable to take on any new general commissions that are needed between now and November as I am starting into the long list of Christmas drawings now in the coming weeks which is crazy. A few spots left if you want to grab one of those Christmas slots, get in touch with any enquiries and I shall happily price them up and provide various size options etc.
Have you a friend or family member who has moved home? A house drawing is the perfect gift to document this new chapter. A forever keepsake.
Next slots available for drawing is September.
When your home is as picture perfect as this why would you not have it transformed into a hand drawn piece of art.
The client wanted a minimal piece with just the outline of the house and the box hedge along the front.
Love the look of this timeless style and motif added around the text. Send over your house pic for a no obligation quote, I'm often asked re: costs but impossible to have set pricing as each drawing is bespoke to your own home and the details involved. 6-8 weeks turnaround time currently.
A recent completed drawing of a family homestead, referenced and sketched with the use of old photographs and Google street view from a few years ago as the client wanted the art work to reflect how the house looked in years gone by.
Prints were also produced from the original for other family members, the beauty of a print is that various text could be added, I'll show these at some point.
A few stills of a recent A3 piece.
An A4 drawing doesn't have to be a side table or display shelf piece. If framed correctly it can create a statement wall piece. Mock up here shows a deep mount to add depth to the size of the wall art.
Swipe across for up close images of the brickwork.
Only the finest quality matte paper is used for any prints to avoid shine or reflections on 300gsm (paper weight) no creases or wrinkles behind your chosen frame.
Great to get the feedback.
A pleasure to create this one. The brief was clear, a drawing of how to remember a grandmother's home but without the sheds blocking the view of the house. Swipe across for reference pic. A sure sign to capture the memories into artwork. Prints were made from the original piece for various other members of the family to also have.
A recent commission of a beautiful home drawing for a wedding anniversary gift.
The mature trees and gardens surrounding the property are incredible. Puts the pressure on when the place is so well manicured and kept to show this in the artwork.
It's difficult to show the sheer size of this piece on here, but this one is a large A2 size drawn onto a rigid board so no wrinkles or creases behind a glass frame.
Health to enjoy.
Slots available in the summer if you want to get booked in for your own lifelong piece.
A recent pen and pencil illustration of the fabulous
Historic buildings will always be my favourite type of building to draw, the intricate detailing and stonework takes a lot of time but is worth it in the end.
Want your own wedding venue illustrated? Get in touch for prices and availability.
A few stills of a recently drawn church in County Tyrone.
The original pen and pencil drawing was used to create a guest sign board. I will always recommend for your artwork to be drawn first on paper as it's too time consuming and costly for an accidental drinks spillage / damage on the day of the wedding. The boards whether it be for entrance signs / guest boards can be digitally edited with text added and less pressure for the couple when transporting to their venues knowing the original artwork is safe.
I've had a few local requests for prints of this chapel - I can add text as required to your chosen print be it the chapel name / couple name for a past or future wedding if gifting for a wedding or anniversary present.
A great idea to make use of wedding boards, use as signage throughout the day and then have it signed by your guests and framed up as a forever keepsake.
A pleasure to create this sentimental piece of artwork for this young couple to treasure forever.
Artwork can be used across many forms of wedding stationery but love this alternative to a guest book. Have your guests sign your board and have it framed after the wedding and displayed proudly.
This one is a large A1 board, any text etc can be added when creating your board.
Prices vary depending on size and details.
I look forward to creating many more stunning venues across the world.
No better way to capture the history and memories of a former home that was demolished than a piece of artwork for the walls within the replacement house.
Various sizes available - this commission is an A3 size.
My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I read this commission request - I remember being hooked on this television series of the renovation works at Escape To The Chateau and being blown away by what the owners achieved with the building both internally and externally and hearing our own Northern Irish accent on such a popular TV show was class.
A former bride who got married here commissioned this drawing of their wedding venue to gift to her hubby today on valentine's day. Over the moon to be asked and trusted to draw a property as magnificent as this. What a venue and what a building. I'll share reference pics later in the week of what I was asked to recreate and thankfully with the use of loads of footage and pics on the insta grid I was able to see all the fine close up details on the building to allow me to draw it.
The trees provide the perfect backdrop to this homely cottage drawing.
It's impossible to see the impact and size of this drawing in a small grid on an app. This piece spans almost 1 metre wide and makes for a dramatic piece of wall art within the walls of this building.
The old Vs new for any new followers. On the left is how the barn looked prior to the owners doing a full restoration, and on the right is how it looks in its present. Love how this drawing respects the old building and brings it along on the new journey and new chapter for this barn.
"From pen to paper to perpetuity"
The brief was very straight forward for this drawing as the house has such a crisp finish. The owners of the house had built two stone planters at each side of the front door so I gathered what the vision was for these and drew in some shrubbery. I get this a lot in terms of what's finished and what's not but that's the beauty with a drawing, if you have a vision of what additions you have in mind I can draw them in.
A3 size drawing using pen and pencil.
Hope this makes understanding the order process easier and thanks for even looking at my work never mind considering commissioning a piece.
⚫ I try to keep the quotation process as simple as possible but as each piece is priced individually depending on what you want drawn and size, details etc. there will be some backwards and forwards in communication to get a vision of what it is you are commissioning.
⚫ I will then review the reference pics and provide a quotation on the artwork that is to be drawn.
⚫ Frames are such a personal thing and an aspect I don't get too involved in as you know best what's going to work with your home decor and it's ultimately your choice what you choose to spend on a frame whether to go budget retail or bespoke professional.
⚫ These investments in your little piece of history are expensive as fine art is time intensive which is why payment plans are available at a budget that suits you and you choose the timescale based on your terms.
Thank you for reading and showing interest in what I do.
This drawing was commissioned in an A4 size which literally documents a piece of history with the dates that this house was the family home added to the piece. The trees and shrubbery took quite a lot of work as the garden is so mature and the trees grouped so closely together. In order to achieve this you have to use different drawing techniques, various widths or pencil and pen tips, use different shapes and pencil strokes to create the differences then use different pencil shades on the top layer.
Great way to capture the memories.
Swipe right for some close ups and let me know what you think.
Another family home I had the pleasure of drawing recently. In the brief I was asked to include the stone walling around a patio to the left of the house so I worked to centre and scale the house and patio on the page and brought in high trees on both sides to frame the piece nicely and balance out the proportions. I'll share some reference pics later in the week. This time of year the trees are bare so with the use of Google street view I was able to see how these trees looked in the summer and drew the trees fuller to add more depth to the piece. This one, the request was for a more calligraphy style text to title the piece.
I'll never get tired of this job.
Thank you.
I couldn't picture this in my head for a very long time. Throughout 2023 I kept getting requests for wedding invitations and could never visualise how my drawings fitted into this concept. Now I get it, why spend loads of money on invitations and have nothing to show for it at the end. An original drawing of the venue to look back on forever and use the original artwork on your wedding stationery.
This was one of the main reasons behind the rebrand in 2023 from 'The Drawing Room at Tully House' to 'Made at Tully' as 1. It made for an easier website domain and 2. Moving towards crafting as well as drawing.
I'm not in a position to hit the ground running yet as I've still so much to sort out in terms of print costs, paper, envelopes etc but will work on getting this all put together in order to share with all future customers.
N.B Tony and Emily are fictional characters, but wish them all the best all the same 😀. Names and dates are for illustration purposes only incase there's a row over a double booking
I look forward to working on this aspect of the business throughout 2024.
➡️ swipe across to see one of the reference pics I drew this house from. In the brief we agreed to draw the front shrubbery at a lower height and I was given close up images of the front door etc to allow me to draw these details. I'll always recommend to include the front door and I may come back to you for more pics if it's not visible from what you send me as I feel the front door of any home drawing is the main focal point.
I'm not going to lie when I see brickwork I sigh as it's so time consuming but when I see the mortar joints are a light colour I double sigh 😀 darker joints I can just draw in a dark pen but lighter joints need another layer of white pen or pencil after each individual brick is drawn. But the end result is always class.
This one is an A3 size portrait and what a home it is to.
A gift that will last forever.
A recent commission of a gift for a Nanny & Granda. An A3 size pen and pencil drawing of this family home. A3 size is 42cm x 29.7cm which is a fairly good size for a wall hanging piece but pair this with an A2 frame with mount and makes for a more impressive wall art piece.
The trees on the avenue took some time to get the contrasts right with the lights and the darks but worth it when you see how they frame the finished piece. Taking time at the beginning of the drawing process is so important as the right shot and drawing angle makes all the difference.
