Highly recommend a day trip to Raasay when visiting Skye. The ferry is a short crossing from Sconser and reasonably priced. Views from the island looking back towards Skye are spectacular. It really is such a lovely place to just stop and appreciate nature.

Pop in to the Isle of Raasay Distillery for a tour or even some delicious lunch and cocktails. Enjoy one of the many walks Raasay has to offer or have a drive around the island to visit some of Raasay’s sights such as Callum’s Road or Brochel Castle. A day out you won’t forget.

Highly recommend a Torabhaig distillery tour!

I recently had a private tour and was most certainly not disappointed.

The distillery is a lovely looking distillery. Staff are friendly and extremely passionate about their jobs. The surrounding area is beautiful. The tour itself is very informative and enjoyable.

We would like to give a big welcome to Lynsey Farquharson and Rob Moore and introduce them. Lynsey and Rob will be looking after and managing The The Lambing Shed from 1st April. They both have extensive management experience in hospitality. Lynsey and Rob will be excellent hosts and deliver the very best experience Lambing Shed guests are accustomed too. Reservations are now being taken for 10th April onwards. We wish them the very best in the new venture.

Dek and I are taking time out primarily to focus on family needs but also go exploring in our hand built converted lorry home! Lots of change and exciting times ahead.

Autumn walks ….Orbost Beach

This year the Draconoids meteor shower is from October 6-10.

They will be at their peak in Scotland on Saturday, October 8, and Sunday, October 9 – which is when you are most likely to see multiple shooting stars.
