Team Update: The defibrillator team in Quebec fundraised this year and we currently have a balance of £122.50 after buying new, in date, pads for the machine. We hope everyone stays safe.

The Guardians are having a fundraiser stall at the Christmas fair in November and would like to ask residents if they would like to donate anything to the stall...large or small all is welcome.....please contact the page admins

Anyone can use a defibrillator and you don’t need training. Once you turn it on, it will give clear instructions on how to attach the defibrillator pads. The device checks the heart rhythm and will only tell you to shock if it’s needed. You can't shock someone accidentally.

Defibrillator and set of pads. This is held within an orange case and checked weekly. Should you ever need to be in a position to require a defibrillator please ring 999, the operator will have the information of the nearest machine to your location...they will inform you of the cabinet unique number to open it. Remove the orange case and take it to the patient.....once the on/off button is pressed it will tell where to place the pads.
Also inside the case is a starter kit which contains the following:

1 Pair of Tough Cut Shears
1 Prep Razor
1 Set of Nitrile Gloves
2 Patient Wipes
1 Resuscitation Faceshield

These are to be used alongside the defibrillator.
