This Friday, Dr Mary Hanley and Dr Keren MacLennan are hosting a public event for nearly 100 people from the locality to come into the University and hear about evidence-based initiatives to support autistic people to thrive in County Durham. The keynote speaker is Mary Kelly Foy MP who has a particular interest in supporting autistic people. The event will highlight the fantastic work ongoing by academics in the Department of Psychology and Centre for Neurodiversity and Development around supporting autistic people in employment and in education. It will also highlight the strong research partnership with Durham County Council.
