β¬οΈ Play straight, Be great young man
Burnhope CC Juniors Tearoom has unfortunately been broken into. The culprits smashed a window located at the back of the cabin and climbed in.
Fortunately none of the juniors kit was stolen, but unfortunately our till we use for all junior training, games and events was smashed to bits.
Luckily we never keep any cash on site.
Not the scenes we wanted to see just 4 weeks before the season but we do understand it could of been a lot worse.
As a club we are working with the police to hopefully find the culprits involved.
Could we ask that people please share this post and if anyone has any information please feel free to give us a message.
Yesterday saw 6 of our members climb up Scafell Pike to help raise some funds for the club to be able to finalise the installation of the Artificial Nets.
Josh Brooks, Chris Tully, John Lawson, Ryan Bendelow, Laura Bendelow and David Selby all tackled the pretty horrific weather conditions βοΈπ§π¨ to get to the summit ποΈ.
Well David didn't manage to get over the last set of rocks but did. manage to take the picture of the other 5, ohh also he forgot to take his inhaler π.
It took the team 7 hours to go up and down. If you would like to contribute to the money raised please feel free to message the page to arrange cash collection or all card payments can be made to the go fund me page:

Tonight saw the last of the Winter 2024 for the softball juniors. Great programme held Croft View Halls. Thanks goes to David, Craig, Robbie, Michael, Josh, Daryl and all the parents who have mucked in at times to make the sessions so successful. Any feedback on how you believed this years programme has gone would be greatly appreciated. The coaches all believe the progress made by the two groups has been easy to notice and we hope to go into the summer training programme with spirits held high.
Some of our girls attended an indoor festival held by Durham Cricket Foundation at Official New College Durham this afternoon. Winning 4 of the 5 games they played. The whole club are very proud of your achievements so far and hope you continue to have a successful 2024. ππ
Due to the news coming from ECB this morning around All Stars and Dynamos equipment. Burnhope CC Junior training on Friday 15th March is cancelled so we have time to get new equipment in place for the volume of children we see over the 90 minutes. Sorry for any inconvenience but the safety of the children, coaches and parents is paramount to everyone involved.
Happy Mothers Day to all our members.
Sometimes the great people say βI canβt my child has Cricketβ ππ
Pauline Leonard one of the junior players parents is leading a Easter Egg Raffle for 2024 for Burnhope CC Juniors.
Pauline is looking for any donations of any eggs to add to the ever growing pile of eggs. Also she has began selling tickets Β£1 a strip. Feel free to message her directly to purchase tickets.
This is just another reason why we can make the sport as inclusive as possible for all. Small fundraisers like this help build up the funds to keep costs down for all Junior members.
