As some of you may remember last summer we held our drink prices on house doubles and Woodgates even though supplier prices increased and now as another student year approaches we can confirm we will NOT be increasing prices for second year running on our house doubles , Woodgates and many more products. This is a thank you for the loyalty our customers have shown us.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Durham and of course welcome Freshers 2024 to Jimmys

The owners of Jimmy Allen’s announced their expansion into a second Durham venue in a post on Facebook.

The new club’s name is Fowlers, after the nearby Fowlers Yard, a set of artist studios set in former stables and warehouses which date back to the Victorian era. The owners told Palatinate they plan to open it in the run-up to Michaelmas 2024.

Fowlers will take over newly renovated premises on Back Silver Street, behind Durham’s Market Hall, just off Market Square. It replaces King Pong, formerly Wiff Waff — a ping pong bar and club. King Pong closed its doors in January 2024, sharing the news in a post on Facebook.

Freshers booking requests are coming in quick and fast, with this in mind we are proud to announce the planned opening of our 2nd venue, FOWLERS ( formerly known as WIFF WAFF ).

Downstairs club nights with live djs and upstairs Durhams only dedicated karaoke lounge bar.

We are now taking bookings for FOWLERS along with Jimmys for freshers.

Well as another student year comes to an end we just want say thanks to each and everyone of you’s that have supported us over the last academic year. We truly appreciate it.

We are still open 7 nights week through til the end of graduation then will be open all summer but we will close a few days a week.

Tonight doors open at 9pm, we have managed to get our hands on a little VK merchandise which we will hand out at random during the night

If you’s are heading home have a safe journey, if you are graduating congratulations and see all soon

As many of yous may be aware a lot of Durham is suffering from a power cut. For this reason we are planning on opening slightly later tonight at 11pm as we have been advised power be back in then. Any further updates we will update on here
