Cheese 'N' Toasted

After overcoming several setbacks, we are thrilled to announce that we are finally open in Durness!

Unfortunately, we lost our spot at the Smoo Cave overflow car park 😔 However, we are excited to share that we will now be operating from a new location this year! Just under a mile away, at the Durness Tourist Information Centre, a short walk from Sango Sands Campsite.

While it's disappointing to not be in the spot we worked so hard to establish, we believe our new location might even be better! Situated more centrally in Durness, with beautiful views overlooking Sango Bay - where else could you enjoy one of our famous toasties?

We will be operating most days this month from 11am-3pm. Times may vary so keep an eye on our page for updates!

After another great summer up on the north coast this year we will be closing for the season after service tomorrow (31/10/23) Thank you to all the wonderful people we have met this year and we look forward to welcoming everyone for the 2024 season!

Our Stockbridge store will be temporarily closed for maintenance this Friday until Friday 20th.

Durness will be closed this Friday 2pm and reopened on Monday the 9th at 11am.

I've been wanting to try here for a year, after seeing the shack on my tour of Scotland last year. So my husband didn't need to ask twice when he mentioned going this year. 🥰
I went for the NEW YORKER, and I kid you not, it was bloomin' delicious. The combinations and flavours were super tasty. I love Reubens, and of course, this was very similar.
My husband went for the HIGHLANDER - haggis and cheese - and loved his also. They were very filling.... I could so go it again. I'll just need to check out the Edinburgh one as well!
You need to try it if you're up the very north of Scotland - Smoo Cave, stunning beaches and banging toasties. What else could you want? 😍
