Round 9 : Snetterton 200

Ohh what a dayyy

Up bright and early ready to have it out for a full day knowing better lines and braking zones!

Warm up: wasn’t really a warm up tbf. The Civic up lads had re run a red flagged race from the night before so track temps were better, a dry night and morning cool temps allowed to get on it from the off with a good pit strategy to keep tyre pressures dialled in.

Practice: Most tracks in the Uk are fastest around 11-11:30 and on lap 8 I proved that but smashing my pb with a 1:22.208 with an average speed of 86mph!

Qualifying: this session was the first time of there day where times count towards championship points and lap records! Now, the old Clubman record was held by Ben Copson in a Fiesta ST with a 1:25.079. On lap 4 of quali I am proud to say I set the new record at 1:22.642! Happy to say the least!!!

Final: Now this is where things get difficult. I broke the car. No badly but it was irreparable at the track so it was the end of the session and the day. But that wasn’t before pulling out a not so shabby 1:23.491 securing the lead and the win of Sunday, and there for, you guessed correctly, the CHAMPIONSHIP!

I was to say a massive thank you to everyone that’s supported me this season, done things to help me with the car in person or sorting parts from across the country!

Obviously I wouldn’t have had the opportunity without the legend that is Nick from filling my head with ideas and goals! Thank you so much man, you believed in me others wouldn’t have and I genuinely and so greatful for the chance to prove myself! Here’s to next season!

:Snetterton Round 8
It was a good hustle today, car was flawless and held up well

The day started of greasy and damp which made for an eventful warm up session on Trofeo R’s

For practice the track had gained some temperature and became flawless to run on with the R’s and produced the fastest lap of the session in clubman and pocket rocket rivalling the weapon that is the saxo of Andrew Kime

Practice ran smoothly up until the final hot lap where I hit a massive massive fuel surge and getting thrown into limp mode half way through Coram 😂 It defiantly wasn’t ideal 😅

The final. With a little bit of spice added onto the track by the k20 Fusion loosing its entire sump on the entry of Brundle, Nelson and Bombhole halfway through the session 😳 so with lines and braking zones adjusted to miss all that. It turned out to be a very progressive session!

Some minor suspension changed to be made for tomorrow but I’m hopeful the same trend today will carry over!
